CHAPTER 2: Skipping School?

The sun had risen over Beacon Hills and it was nearing time for school.

Scott's Pov:

When I woke up this morning it was like any other day. But when I got to school something was off. Stiles asked me if he could give me a ride to school, and of course I said yes, but when we got there, Liam wasn't.

When we saw the girls (Lydia and Malia) we asked them if they had seen Liam, but they hadn't.

"Well, that's weird," Stiles declared.

"Yeah. I mean, doesn't he basically follow you guys around like he's your kid? Malia asked.

"Maybe he's with Mason and Corey right now?" I suggested.

"Yeah, we should go check." Stiles said.

"Awwww, look at worried Mommy Stiles." Malia mocked.

Lydia and I both laughed at Malia's "Mommy Stiles" joke, but Stiles didn't think it was that funny.

"C'mon guys, we just need to be sure. And by the way, I love that name, I'm keeping it," Stiles replied.

All three of us started to chuckle as we entered the school searching for Mason and Corey.

When we found them they were as clueless as us. They hadn't seen Liam since yesterday after school.

"Now are you guys worried?!" Stiles asked.

"We don't know if something bad has happened. We can't just think the worst every single time Liam decides to skip school," Mason comforted.

"Mason's right, he's probably skipping, you don't need to worry, Stiles," Lydia reassured.

The school day passed by extremely slow, but during 8th period Stiles and I decided we would check on Liam after school, and talk to him about why he skipped class. Can you believe our k–that kid, I meant that kid.

The last bell rang and we ran to Stiles' Jeep and took off towards Liam's house. When we got there, there were no cars in the driveway. We opened his front door which was always unlocked. We told him that he should atleast try to lock his house just incase, but apparently his family tried that and got locked out the first night. Stiles stepped in the house and I followed. When we were inside, Stiles screamed, "Liam, where are you? Why weren't you at school?"

Stiles started walking toward the stairs to go up to his room. I turned around and closed the door behind me. Once the door latched, I could smell it. I darted past Stiles, but when I got to the steps I saw Liam standing right at the bottom.
