Tanjiro listened to [y/n] intensely as he was telling his story. [Y/n] told his story like he was telling a happy memory from his childhood. Except most of what happened in his story was him getting beaten up by a two-headed demon. After he finished his story, Tanjiro was the first to speak.

" You guys seem so close! explains that scent I always smell when you guys are together.. "

Tanjiro mumbled the last part mostly to himself. But [y/n] still heard him. He tilted his head with a puzzled face.

" what scent?- "

Before tanjiro could answer, an angry Kotetsu was marching toward them. He stood in front of them crossing his arms.

" AHA, I knew something was up. "

" CUT THIS CRAP AND GET BACK TO TRAINING! "

Tanjiro cried out an apology and went back to training. [Y/n] rolled his eyes at Kotetsu and rested against a tree, disappointed his stupid lie didn't keep him away longer. Kotetsu snapped his head at him and walked over to him. Reaching his hand, he pulled into [y/n]s ears.

" AND YOU! DID YOU THINK I FORGOT ABOUT YOUR CRAPPY LIE? "

His grip on his ear tightened, earning a whimper from [y/n]. For a 10-year-old he sure is strong.

" HOW ABOUT YOU LEAVE AND GO DO SOMETHING ELSE! "

" Ow! Okay okay just let me go. "

Kotetsu's hold on [y/n]'s ear left but he still eyed him, waiting for him to leave. [Y/n] rubbed his now red ear, glaring at the shorter boy. The impatient kid tapped his foot on the floor with his hands on his hips. [Y/n] clenched his jaw and took off to go back to the hot springs after saying goodbye to tanjiro.

" stupid kid.. "

[Y/n] grumbled to himself, forcing his feet against the wooden floor of the hot springs. His eyes glared at the floor with his hands in his pockets. his movements suddenly came to halt. 

The springs.

His eyes sparkled. He's been here for almost a week and he hasn't stepped a foot into the hot water of the springs. Just looking at the water he could already feel it surrounding his skin. He quickly got undressed and jumped into the springs letting the water embrace him. A long sigh escaped his mouth at the feeling of his muscles relaxing under the hot touch of the water. 

He stayed under the water for a while until something caught his eyes. Something was moving under the water. He raised an eyebrow, watching the thing coming in his direction. But before he could move an inch, wet black locks appeared out of the water only revealing bright minty eyes. [Y/n] froze in his place trying to process what just happened. His eyes went wide.
