just gonna say i worked hard on this and i dreamt up half of it. comment please! i would very much like others opinions.
this story is about a girl who managed to survive a hurricane, soon after choas erupts.ENJOY!
"mom!" yelled jacienda desperatly paddling in her uncle's red mini boat through what used to be her home town san jose,but it is now flooded with water courtesey of a hurricane breaking the city dam that the mayor garrenteed wouldn't break even under a giants weight. now despite her wanting to curl up into a ball and ignore the rest of the world she was searching for her brother and mother. although on the upside she wasn't alone because she managed to save her best friend chelsey from drowning.
she looked back at chelsey who was looking far out and squinting her eyes, lifting one hand to shield her face from an imaginary sun. "do you think we'll find them?" asked jacienda. chelsey gave a wide fake smile that made her freckles look like they might pop, her dark brown eyes batted uncontrollably fast like how they usually do when she lies. "you bet we will!" said chelsey perky.
"hey look, i -i think i see kyle!" said chelsey making the boat rock as she jumped up and down pointing to a little figure sitting on a door that was floating in the distance. jacienda paddled over to the figure a little closer to see if it was her brother. as she got closer she could see her brothers features:dark blonde hair, pale white skin, and his dorky superman t-shirt. yep this was her 14-year old brother alright.
jacienda studied his face, it looked like he'd been crying and his face was a bright red that popped up when he cried. he was sobbing, and she couldn't stand the sight of her older brother breaking down right infront of her. "kyle!" she cried when she was 4-feet away. he looked up and hiw frown turned into a sad smile. "man, for a minute there i thought you and mom were gone!" he said.
jacienda paddled the boat closer to the door that kyle was floating on. "how did yolu survive?" asked chelsea grabbing the door and bringing it closer. "aunt jess" he said with a smile. "what how?" asked jacienda. "well you know how she carries around a whole bunch of crap in her purse?" he said with a smile. "yeah..." said jacienda. "well turns out that she had a blow-up boat in there, she went in there and i was coming inside when the damn broke so i grabbed onto the door and got a little bruised up. i figured since i barely survived there was a pretty slim chance that you guys didnt." said kyle giving jacienda a bear hug.
"alright you can give me all the nugies you want when you're on the boat." said jacienda. "okay let me just-ahhh!" said kyle falling into the water. "kyle!!" jacienda shrieked reaching into the water for her brother. a few moments later kyle popped back up to the surface."oh my god, you just gave me a heart attack!, get up here!" said jacienda. kyle flipped his hair out of his face. "okay but give me a minute i think i saw something down there.
" he said going back into the water. kyle came back up a few seconds later crying. "kyle... why are you crying?" asked jacienda slowly. " its mom." said kyle in whisper."what about mom?" she asked lip quivering.kyle looked at her then looked back down at the water. "she's stuck under the boat!" kyle cried. " i tried to pull her out, i did but, shes stuck in the propeller!." he said.
"so! we can revive her!" said jacikenda making her way to the edge of the boat. "no, you don't understand jacienda her body it's... all ripped up,she's missing the bottom half of her body and half of her head is gone!"
