Swwshhh...

Swwshhhh...

Swwshhhhh...

The waves.

The waves seem so distant.

So far.

So quiet.

She couldn't even hear the voices that were just over the waves. They sounded like murmurs, not reaching her in the slightest.

They might have been calling out for her. They might not. Either way she could not answer. All that came out was less then a whisper. She sounded so quiet.

How long had she been like that?

...

She didn't know.

She couldn't be bothered to reach for the waves, nor the voices. Energy was already drained from her.

She wanted to rest so badly.
Perhaps she could, now that she was here.

She had already tried to go to the waves earlier, but she had failed.

How long ago was it that she had tried?

Was it forever ago? Or was it just two minutes?

How did she even get here in the first place? She had been enjoying her day, and then suddenly it all went wrong. Her future, her friendships, her everything. She had it no longer.

It seemed like eternity ago that she breathed normally, relaxing without a worry.

Now she had everything taken away from her. Forever torn into pieces she could not pick up.

Why?

Just why?

She could have done so more. But no, she had to end up here, left all alone.

All was so far.

All was so quiet.

All was...

Dark.

Her eyes stung badly, and she couldn't see anything in first place. Her vision was blurry. She wouldn't even try. If this was place she died, where it all ended, then that was fine.

It was too late either way.

The water had consumed her, like her own sorrows. Maybe this was for the better. Maybe this was truly just alright..

Maybe she just had to accept the truth.

Maybe she shouldn't have blocked everyone out, leaving herself to drown. Perhaps she should have been more welcoming, more willing to talk to others. She could have been saved from the deep waters, if she had spoken up more.

But that was okay. It was fine. She couldn't change the past, as it was already done. She would just have to live with what she had done.

Although...

Maybe she shouldn't have been so quiet.
