The Best of Us [Shenhe x Yelan fanfic]

This Feeling

''Yelan, wake up. I'm going to leave early.'' Shenhe said while kissing Yelan's forehead. ''Alright hun, good luck. I love you.'' Yelan mumbled as Shenhe smiled and left. Yelan got up and went to the bathroom. After she was finished the only thing that she could think about was Shenhe ofcourse. But, she was rather busy these days. Yelan wondered if maybe she got tired of her and wanted to ignore her. As she was overthinking, Shenhe send a letter to Yelan. ''Huh, why would she send this?''

Yelan opened the letter and smiled. It said, ''Hello love, i'm home early today. I'll see you soon.'' she put on her clothes and left the house to go shopping for her and Shenhe. ''Hm.. let's see.. what would Shenhe like?'' while Yelan was looking for Shenhe's favorite snacks and clothing she decided to pay a visit to the casino. 

She doesn't go there as often anymore after meeting Shenhe and dating her. It was quite obvious why, since she cares so much about Shenhe. 

Shenhe was working hard under Cloud Retainer's training. She always understimates her strength and sometimes goes overboard. Sometimes, Ganyu joins her too. Cloud Retainer thought she wouldn't feel so alone since she usually trains all by herself with Cloud Retainer. Ganyu often helps Shenhe at some parts of the training. They grew super close. But, Shenhe didn't tell anyone about her and Yelan's relationship since she knew they would stare at her in disgust and give her weird names.

She knew she couldn't tell anyone about it but.. she hopes Yelan didn't tell anyone either. Although deep inside her she wished she could have told someone different than Yelan. Sometimes it feels like.. Yelan is the only one that truely loves me for who i am and understands me.

Yelan got home and sat down on the couch. She waited for Shenhe patiently. ''Atleast i got something interesting to do today than wait for Shenhe. I should ask her sometime to come with her once.''

While Shenhe was walking back to her home, she noticed Chongyun with a blue haired boy. ''Hello, Chongyun. It's nice seeing you again.'' She said while walking towards them. ''And who might you be, sir?'' Shenhe asked. ''Hello ma'am, my name is Xingqiu. I am a close friend of Chongyun's.'' Xingqiu said while greeting her. ''No need to be so formal, she's my aunt.'' Chongyun said while smiling. ''Oh! I see. It's nice to meet you.'' Shenhe said the same and waved at them as she walked away.

''Honey, i'm home.'' Shenhe said while taking off her shoes and walking to Yelan. ''I missed you so much!!'' Yelan said while jumping on her for a hug. ''Same here.'' Shenhe said while giving her a lot of kisses. ''Can we watch something with horror tonight?'' Yelan said to make up an excuse to get closer to her. ''Although i have no idea what a horror movie is, ofcourse. Anything for you.''

While they were watching, Shenhe decided to ask the question she wanted to ask for a while. ''Yelan..?'' ''Yeah, honey?'' Yelan said while sitting up. ''Do you.. maybe think i should tell someone about our relationship despite us keeping it a secret from others?'' Shenhe said while staring into Yelan's eyes nervously. Yelan knew she was scared and afraid from the crowd enough. Knowing the harsh words she got. ''I don't know exactly. We both have reputations, don't we? Maybe it's a bit too soon to tell anyone. I love you, Shenhe. I'll be heading off to bed now.'' Shenhe smiled and watched Yelan walk to bed. 

Ofcourse.. we have reputations.
