Tara and Amber laid in bed peacefully sleeping. Amber's arm wrapped around Tara's waist. They were both the type of people to sleep through a war without waking up once.

Amber was suddenly awoken by a little hand shaking her shoulder. She groaned and unwrapped her hand from around her wife's waist.

"What is it, baby?" Amber asked, rubbing the sleep from both of her eyes before looking at their two year old daughter, Violet, who looked scared.

Violet didn't say anything and just pointed at the window just as they heard thundering. Violet whined and jumped into her mothers arms.

Amber sighed and rubbed her daughter's back. "It's okay, my love. It's outside, it can't get you," she said, continuing to rub her back. Violet moved her head from the crook of Amber's neck and looked at Amber directly in the eyes.

"Are you okay?" Amber asked. Violet nodded her head yes, but immediately hugged her mother tightly again once they heard more thundering.

"I want mommy," Violet cried onto Amber's shoulder. "But mommy's asleep, Vi," Amber said, getting up to walk around with the two year old in her arms.

Violet cried harder and Amber sighed, walking over to her wife's side of the bed. "Babe," Amber said, shaking Tara lightly. It took a few more tries, but eventually she woke up.

She stretched and yawned, before opening her eyes and fully adjusting to everything. "What's wrong?" She croaked out, voice slightly hoarse.

"Violet is scared of the thunder. She wanted you," Amber said. Violet reached out for Tara and Tara happily took her. Amber bent down and pecked Tara on her lips three times.

"What time is it?" Tara asked. Amber looked over at the clock that sat on their dresser. "two twenty three am."

Amber looked over at their bedroom door once she seen another small figure walking up to it. "I'm sorry, mommy, I tried to be a big girl and stay in my own room, but i'm scared," their six year old daughter, Vivian, said.

"No, it's okay, honey," Tara said. Patting the bed next to her for Vivian to sit down. She happily obliged and sat down next to Tara, immediately cuddling up to her. Amber and Tara looked down at Violet who was falling asleep in Tara's arms.

They both smiled and looked over at their other daughter. "Are you tired?" Amber asked, sitting down beside her older daughter.

"No, mama," Vivian said, playing with her sisters little fingers. "Okay, well we can watch Tv until you are tired."

Vivian smiled and nodded as she sat in between both of her mothers. Her smile quickly faded away as she jumped slightly because of the thunder and lightning outside.

"It's okay," Amber said, pulling Vivian into her side and hugging her tightly. Tara smiled at her wife and leaned over, pecking her shoulder quickly.

Amber looked at her and smiled. Vivian reached over and grabbed the remote that was next to Amber. She leaned onto Amber's chest as she flicked through the channels. "I'm cold," Vivian said out of no where.

They pulled the covers up for her to get under. "Still cold," she said. Amber and Tara chuckled and Amber got up to go get some more blankets.

A few minutes later, she came back with about three blankets and three cups of hot chocolate. Tara and Vivian smiled, taking their cups from Amber.

"Be careful, baby, it's hot," Tara said. Vivian nodded and blew on it before placing it down on the stand next to her mothers bed.

Soon, Amber got back into the bed and waited for Vivian to lay her head back on her chest, which she did.

Tara smiled at the both of them, she loved seeing her wife with their kids. It was truly beautiful.

Amber looked over at Tara and smiled as well. Vivian rolled her eyes and grabbed the remote off the stand.

She put on frosty the snowman and her parents playfully whined because this was the sixth time this week and it was only Wednesday. Vivian chuckled and continued watching her favorite movie.

The lightning and thundering continued, making Violet whine and move around in her sleep, but thank God she didn't wake up.

About ten minutes later, Vivian asked Amber to hand her her hot chocolate, which she happily did. Vivian took a sip and gave it back to Amber.

It was still kind of hot so she only took a little sip.

About thirty minutes into the movie, Vivian was sleep on Amber's chest. Tara smiled and said, "She's asleep."

Amber laid down so that her daughter could be more comfortable. Tara did the same and laid down as well. Amber turned to her side and gently put Vivian next to her, while Tara but Violet in the middle of them.

"I love you," Tara sighed, moving Amber's hair out of her face.

"I love you, too," Amber smiled.

Both kids were fast asleep so now it was time for the parents to get to sleep. They both closed their eyes and was out in no time.

Neither of their daughters woke up again until it was actually time for them to get up for the day.
