"I'm Lexi," she states as she puts her hand out, stretched out to me, palm open and sideways. I reach for it, before grasping it, shaking it cautiously, pondering many things. Mostly just everything possible running through my head. I have no idea how I can comprehend this many questions to myself. "I know what happened, I just want to help." I look into her pale blue eyes, and by the looks of it, she seems genuine. There doesn't seem to be a flicker of ill intention in her eyes, not in the slightest. Even if she seems to be a smart ass like me, but that seems to be common, things happening that are unexpected. That seems to be all of this week. "How do you know?" I ask, "How do you know who I am?" As I sit there, looking at her with curiosity, she sighs gently. "I have been keeping tabs on your family. I know, that's creepy as fuck, but I have my reasons. Mostly just because it's a curious one, and when you become bored commonly, you look out for people who aren't expecting most things. I'm not asking for anything but for you to trust me, and let me help you. Let me help you to the best of my ability with what you're dealing with. I know that that's a lot to ask but, there's not much else I can ask of you." I finally look down as she finishes, pondering still. I want to trust her but I really don't know her. I don't know her at all, but she also doesn't seem to be real, so I don't know what I can trust anymore at this point. "Ok, I'll trust you. But fuck up one time and I'll kill you. I don't know much, but I know that if you do end up helping me get unpossessed or at least taking my life back, and as soon as I do, you turn on me, I have that power. At least from what I gathered from you and Skylee" I state, after some mental debate. Lexi shrugs, "Seems fair, may I?" She gestures her head torwards my bed. I nod, and she comes to sit down next to me. She sinks onto the sheets like she's materialized, but she still is like a ghost, not having a physical part of her body, but still having attributes of a real body. I push that thought aside as we sit there, getting ourselves comfortable to be comfortable for a little while.

We chatted for almost an hour, and instantly became friends. It was something I didn't expect, befriending a spirit or whatever she really is, a normal day wouldn't unfold like this. But frankly none of my days are ever normal anymore. She also filled me in on my family history, which she didn't need to do, but I guess I pestered her enough about it for her to burst and talk about it. Apparently I come from a long line of witches, and not really any good ones either. Not all witches are evil but, of course, my family is. My grandma was the worst of the worst, as well to add insult to injury about my family being a line of witches. Her name was Lilith, named after the demon, she finally died of old age last year. My mom never mentioned anything, but what should I expect? I had always wondered why I didn't visit my grandparents, I guess this is why, that and whether I had grandparents in the first place. I know that she was sensitive about her parents, and never wanted me to visit them, maybe there's a reason for it.. My aunt tried to follow in her footsteps but was banished from earth, and her punishment was that she could only float around as a spirit. A fate worse than death for most witches, because they get to witness the world move on without them instead of just passing on like they're supposed to. The only way she could return is if she possessed a witch, took over their mind, and finally, disposed of their body. That's what she's planning to do to me, but just didn't tell me. Guess I now know where I get my bitchy side from. Or does ancestry not work like that? I'll never know. We move on from the witch stuff and just talk about random things, until an hour later I get a text from Max:

M: Sally

S: What?

M: Look outside.

S: Why?

M: Just look outside!

S: Um, ok?

I look outside and gasp, appalled at the sight above me. There are huge purple clouds coming in our direction, all different shades and hues of purple, with occasional flashes of yellow lightning. It's obviously a storm but... it's not natural. No natural clouds look purple unless it's a cloudy day with a bright sunset, and the sun's cascading on the clouds to make them different shades of pink and purple. Not this.
