Chapter 0 and 1/4th

Rebuilding the Pizzeria

All thirteen animatronics stood outside the abandoned, rotting, rainwater-filled pizzeria, burned to a crisp and in broken shambles. Their home, their life, on its last legs in shame and ruin. It hurt their sparks more than any of them had anticipated. The roof was barely staying up as holes littered the area, and the doors were frosted and broken from years of neglect. Cobwebs and spiders were crawling all over while broken glass, bottles of alcohol, graffiti and more unsavory items trashed the cracked floors as mold crept out of corners from squishy walls practically compressed from the years of decay.

"How are we ever gonna fix this place up?" Freddy asked, voice filled with dread and worry. The work to be done would be monumental, not to mention the cost of it all. They barely had the suits over their skeletons, to think they had any money whatsoever, it was a laughable idea. "Let's look around and see what we can do for now. Then we'll worry about other details." Bonnie suggested. Everyone agreed with solemn nods and Endo 02 pushed open the derelict doors to allow them all entry.

Once inside, the animatronics took a slow walk around the place. Freddy, Bonnie and Chica all went to the dilapidated Show Stage, Endo 01 walked inside the Backstage area and the rest wandered around without much of a plan, except for Foxy. He made his way to the Pirate Cove, sitting down inside of the degraded, decomposed curtains, once a lovely lavender and now a discolored mess of desolation. "Huh. Never thought I would be missin' this place." Foxy muttered, staring at the remains of curtains that once imprisoned him. To think he would miss it, it seemed too far-fetched all those years ago, and now, here he was, doing just that.

The time went by and soon enough, some items had indeed been covered. The old monitor used by the nightguard, some plushies miraculously kept from the absolute worst of the damage, and the infamous desk fan. No one really understood the deal with it, but it had quite the following it seemed. Deeming this scavenge a meager success, they took shelter somewhere else for the night, and what a good idea that was as after decades of disrepair, the roof caved in completely, destroying all that stood previous.

The next morning, the group came back to the last of their home crushed and ruined, bringing about a despair not felt in quite some time. It was unclear who took it the worst, but it was easy to see the disconsolateness it had brought upon. "Now what...?" Endo 01 queried, having lost all happy shine, a far cry from his usual tone. "Sell some random stuff and hope for the best?"

Freddy glanced around at his crew briefly. They counted on him and he wasn't going to let them down. He couldn't, not now, not after everything they had gone through. "If we can, yes. If not we'll do whatever it takes to get the location back." He took a stand the center of the group, speaking with as much confidence as he could muster in this dark time. "We have items that people would love and hopefully buy."

"Kids might like them plushies we wrangled up if we can clean 'em." Chica added. The other shared nods of agreement and renewed vigor, ready to take on the challenge.

"Well then." Freddy announced. "Let's get started. Anyone know where to get vinegar, baking soda, cleaning supplies and tons of rice?"
