Micheal was definitely a more closeted kid. He kept everything to himself, never told anyone. Anyone apart from Jeremy, his best friend. The two had been friends since only recently in their sophomore year, but they lasted as friends until senior year.
Mike walked into his home room, where he sat next to Jeremy. He sat himself down,
"Hey Jeremy"

"Hey, nice hair... cowlick.."

Mike felt the back of his head, "DAMMIT, oh I do have one! Help me fix it!"

"Okay okay I'll help you when class is over just put my hat on!" Jeremy laughed at his friend and proceeded to take of his red hat he wore backwards. He slid it onto mikes head, putting it backwards but at an angle. Mike fixed it to make it look better.

"Thanks." Mike whispered as the teacher started to talk, making three have to shut up.

Class ended and Jeremy walked out with Mike, laughing and giggling at him.

"Quit laughing at me and help!"

"You look stupid with that hat on just saying!"

Mike rolled his eyes, failing an attempt to hold in his smile. Jeremy couldn't help but get caught up in every moment like this. The two of them laughing, like an old couple making fun of their dog.
Jeremy pushed his thoughts away as they entered the restroom.

"Now gimmie my hat back, it look way cooler on me."

"Well, I'm hotter without it anyways!"

"Not with that stupid cowli-"

"Shut up and help me fix it!" Mike laughed as he ran his hands under the sink water and tried to push the strand of hair down.

"Pft- fine hold on." Jeremy said as he ran his fingers down mikes hair to push it down. He put more water on his hands and continued,
Mike couldn't help but notice the concentrated, yet relaxed face of Jeremy's face. Mike didn't even notice the smile that grew on his face as he continued to unintentionally stare at the slightly taller guy.

"Mike?"

Mike immediately realized he was staring, but Jeremy didn't mind. He started to giggle which led to laughter. Mike laughed along with him.

"Okay okay but seriously the way you smiled was a bit questionable Mikey." Jeremy explained as the laughter slowed down. Mike thought he had avoided getting asked the question, but I guess it was another dumb hope.

"Uhm, I don't know just daydreaming and zoned out."

"About what?" Jeremy gave a smirk.

"Psh, nothing important."

"Dude- i just realized we are 12 minutes late to class.."

Mike was glad Jeremy got distracted from the question, and also didn't mind skipping. He did it often anyway.
"It's fine, second period isn't important anyway let's just stay here."

"If we get caught, I'm telling the teachers it's your fault." Jeremy rolled his eyes and slid his hat further down his head, just to adjust it as he looked in the mirror.  Mike made sure not to stare at Jeremy this time. He looked around the restroom awkwardly until finally grabbing his phone out of his pocket. Jeremy did the same and they both sat up against the wall of the restroom, waiting for class to end.
Mike saw a notification from Vincent,. It read, 'where r u at?? Skipping class again bozo?'

Mike replied with, 'yeah, but on accident and with Jeremy'
He set his phone down, only to hear it buzz about 3 more times. He ignored it and just left his phone against his lap. He turned to his side to see Jeremy buried in twitter as usual whenever he was on his phone.
Jeremy looked up at Mike, making an awkward eye contact. Mike didn't expect Jeremy to look at him.

"Your staring again Mike!" Jeremy laughed at his friend, Mike laughing along.
"Whatcha got, a crush on me?" Jeremy said flirting with him. He played it off as a joke, but really was trying to flirt.

"Oh I don't know, do I?~" Mike said with the same tone, trying to also play it off as a joke.

"Well I don't know I guess we'll have to find out!"

"How so?"

Jeremy stopped after that, His smile slowly fading to a straight face. Mike didn't know what to do either. His smile too had faded, leaving the two boys staring at one another for about 3 seconds u til Jeremy made up his mind. He grabbed the bottom of mikes face, and pulled it closer to his own. The two boys touched lips, only going to a soft kiss. It was a quick release, mike was incredibly red, just as much as Jeremy. Mike didn't know what to say, or do. He knew he wasn't joking when he flirted back with Jeremy, but didn't expect Jeremy to be serious about it.
"I-I'm sorry-" Jeremy stuttered out after seeing the shocked look on mikes face.

"Jeremy-"

"No no no- you were probably joking and-"

"Jeremy!"

Jeremy met eyes with mike, shutting himself up. Mike didnt know what to say in response to Jeremy's small panic he was having, so he turned his body towards his and pushed their lips together again, more passionately this time.
Jeremy pulled out after a good 3 seconds, speechless.
"Y-you..don't need to be sorry-" Mike stuttered out.

"So uhm- nows a good time to tell you, I've liked you for a long time...and I've been getting signals that you do to-"

"Yes! Yes I do-" mike was interrupted by Jeremy's arms swinging around him, into a long, warming hug.
Jeremy pulled out after a few seconds, staring at mike with a flustered type of smile.

"So does this mean...we're like, dating?" Mike asked, wanting to break the awkward silence.

"It can mean whatever you want it to!" Jeremy said with enthusiasm as he uncontrollably couldn't stop smiling.
"I mean, I'd like that..." he looked down at his hands and started fidgeting with them, "but I've never been in a relationship and I don't know how any of it works and-"

"It's okay it's okay!" Jeremy said holding onto mikes shaking hands, "we can figure it out together Mike"

Mike looked up from their linked hands to meet Jeremy's eyes. He gave a smile, which held so many unspoken words behind it.
