Torment

The arrival

As i step out of the carriage i suddenly feel cold, there i stand paralysed unable to move. There stands in front of me the biggest castle i have ever seen. My breatth quickens at the sudden realisation of why i am here again. Then a sudden CLANG which makes me flinch.
The gates begin to open.
As soon as the gates are fully open i stare at the dark pathway i must walk down to enter the castle. I feel a lump in my throat, i can hear my mind shouting turn around and run...just keep running and dont look back. But i push the thought away i have to do this...for my father and if not for him than for my people on the other side. I turn to the guard standing next to me. He gives me a nod and i start to walk my mind still screaming in my head to turn around but i cant. So instead i start to walk faster and faster so i can get inside the castle before its too late.
I finally make it in and look up fascinated by the art work done on the ceiling. Then my head bolts down due to the booming voice in front of me yelling "king draco may see you now in the throne room". I silently nod and follow him as he leads the way into the throne room.
As the doors burst open. I find a long thin carpet leading upto a massive black metal throne and sitting on it is the king. As he jesters for me to come closer i oblige and walk until i am only a few feet away. The room is quite empty only the king and a few advisors as well as a few guards are in attendance. He squints his eyes analysing me looking me up and down then after a few minutes of awkward silence he speaks "you must be Everlyn, daughter of henry Addarius".
"y...yes" i stutter he then lets out an unwelcoming grin.
"good" he then turns to his guards and yells " i have seen enough, take the lady Addarius to her chamber" his head then slowly turns to me but is talking to everyone "our wedding will be in exactly a month that is enough time for preparation...this meeting is at an end".
