Ruby was never supposed to exist Grell met some reaper woman at a bar and she was conceived (typical) Grell knew of her existence and was willing to take her in if her mother didn't want her, sadly, that was the case. She was to grow up and never know of or who her mother was.... but instead she found guardian ship in not only her father but her "uncle" William T Spears and her fathers kohai (lower status employee/student) Ronald Knox who's daughter is her best friend, her name is Star. Grell and Ronald like to have fun with Ruby and Star. then there's William he is the strict one and always pushes for the girls to do their best in the reaper academy.
