Part 3 - After the Irodori Festival

A gentle breeze hit Ritou after the marvelous festival. It was as gentle as a feather while also being as relaxing as listening to the oceans waves. Well, it was relaxing until a ship started taking off with familiar faces.

"So Gorou, how was the festival?" asked Kokomi to the tired general. "W-well it was good until Guuji Yae came..." after realizing what he might offend Kokomi he said "M-my apologies! I am a bit tired a-and I wasn't thinki-" Kokomi chuckled. "No worries, Gorou. I know that she might be irritating you a little too much for your own liking." "So I understand you very well." said Kokomi with a smile. Gorou blushed at Kokomi's heartwarming words while also being shocked that she wasn't offended one bit.

"Your Majesty, we have arrived." said Gorou. "Ah, I see. We should get going before it becomes pitch dark." said Kokomi with an exhausted tone. Gorou nodded at her response.

(When they arrive back on the village)

"Goodnight, Gorou"
"Goodnight,Your Majesty"

Kokomi POV:

I woke up by a man screaming. I got out of my bed quickly and followed the sound. Even though the sound of the voice was near, I couldn't find the person. I started searching up the area until I found a note saying:

"Day 20 of staying in this cave. Everything seems fine except for the fact that I hear weird noises coming from the opening of the cave. I'm afraid that whatever or whoever is the cause of the sound will put me in danger that will cause me to not go on adventures. I'm afraid that I will never be able to see the sunlight again. Please, whoever reading this help me if you find this note scattered around somewhere. -Unknown"

Back to Kokomi's POV:

Hmm...I should start with investigating the opening of the cave.

I found nothing here... better go into the depths of this cave, the criminal shouldn't be too far away anyway.

Gorou POV:

I never slept this good in my life. My body feels a little numb and it's hard to walk, I better ask her majesty to get a day off to relax a little more. I have to be prepared or else I won't be able to do my job properly.

*Gorou walks over to Kokomi's house*

"Your majesty?"
No answer
"Your majesty..?"
No answer
"Your majesty!"
No answer
.
I went inside of the house by the window. Her
majesty's bed is undone and her carpet seemed like it moved due to rush. Wait, what if her majesty was kidnapped?! I was in a deep sleep so I couldn't hear... I must find her immediately!
