Chapter 3, befriend

Ring Ring Ring

"Uegh, what?" I slowly open my eyes, hearing the most tormenting sounds. My guess is that it's the alarm, Which means today is the first day of training. I scan the area and notice that It's 6:00 am, Breakfast starts at 6:30 and training starts 7:00

I groggily rub my eyes and get of my bed, nearly breaking my leg in the process, mumbling a quiet 'shit'
I open my drawer and take out my uniform, It's
not too flashy, 2 different shirts, 1 gray and 1 white, brown pants and a brown jacket, I start undressing when I notice that Annie seems to wake up, the first thing she lays eyes on is.. you guessed it! Me.

"The walls! Do you mind?" I say with a blush present on my cheeks, Annie just shrugs and turns around

My screech of horror must of gotten the attention of the others as I hear them both shifting and yawning

At the sound of what seems to be Ymir's sleepy voice I start to change faster, I would prefer that no one saw me naked today "It's way too early for this"

When I'm done changing I notice that everyone's awake except for Sasha, I walk up to her bed and I gently shake her "Sasha wake up! You're going to miss breakfast" at the word 'breakfast' Sasha seems to waken up and gets of her bed, changing into uniform

"These uniforms are so uncomfortable" Sasha says while stretching her back "I definitely agree, they're skin tight!" I say, how am I supposed to fight titans in these nightmares

As Sasha, Ymir and I are walking to the dining area, I notice that Annie is nowhere to be seen "Hey guys, where Is Annie?" I ask, to which Ymir responds "Annie doesn't seem like a peoples person, she probably prefers to be alone" Well that kind of makes sense, I don't get why anyone would want to be friends with someone who ignores anyone who treats her with kindness

"So let's get this straight, You're from shiganshina?" Eren asks me, dumbfounded. "Well originally yes, but I moved away, along with a close friend of mine when I was 10, It was only one year before the titans invaded

"I'm happy you didn't see what the titans did to your hometown then. It was a day that I'd rather forget" Armin said with a shiver

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I was there. I went to visit my aunt for the day, and I seemed to have really lucked out" I said with a hint of sarcasm to my tone, I'll never forget that day, the image of blood and guts everywhere, the pleading people begging to the lord that they'll make it, my aunt being crushed by a rock begging me to run

"You're Lucky to have had each other! Being alone with all of that going on would be even more hellish" they nod at me with sympathetic smiles.

I look around and notice Annie sitting alone, moving around her food, looking gloomy as usual, maybe I can break through that Icy exterior and open her up

"Hey! Get over here" I yell at the blondes direction, Annie looks up and stares at me, turning her head to look at who I'm yelling at, She points to herself with a questioning look and I smile and nod my head, she seems to have an inner battle if she should obey or not before reluctantly walking over to me

"What?" She asks me , giving me her resting face "Come sit down!" I say and I give her my best smile, she looks at me nervously and sits down next to me

"Hey, guys! This is Annie, she's mine and Sasha's roommate!" I say gesturing towards Annie, she gives a low "hi" and everyone introduces themselves, carrying on with their conversations, adding Annie in occasionally, I turn to her and notice the faintest of smiles tracing her face

I think I'm gonna have a stroke

Shadis is the most terrifying human I have ever seen in my entire 13 years of living, I feel so bad for Armin, the poor guy is twitching and shit. I just really hope he doesn't come to me.

I look around, scanning for my friends, quickly finding Eren and Mikasa next to Armin, I quickly find Ymir too looking like she usually does, bitchy, (which for the record I love <3)

I then see Sasha eating a.. potato..? I try to get her attention but it's hopeless, I'm too far away and I don't want shadis questioning me..

Close to Sasha I see Annie, looking as cold as ever. She probably wouldn't even bat an eye if Shadis started full on battling her. Now that I take a closer look at her she's actually quite attract-

"Hey you there, what do you think you're doing..." I quickly remove my eyes from the dashing blonde and turn to Shadis, who seems to have noticed Sasha's Stress eating, this is not gonna end well..

"I don't even think she cares about running, but that her meal privileges are gone for what, a day? That really seems to bother her" Eren says, My response being

"I mean it's Sasha though, nothing makes her happier then food and I know that even though I've barely known her for 2 days" That girl really is something else, I wonder what she'll be like on the battlefield..

"Well I think she's kind of weird" A bald headed guy named Connie says

"But you guys are like, exactly the same. Maybe you should hang more often! It's always good to have a friend" Marco, a raven head boy says. Marco really is a sweetheart, I feel like we're going to get along...

I still can't stop thinking about Annie.. Why was she gone for so long.. I don't think she has friends. What if I try to befriend her.. No. That's ridiculous.. she would never open up to anyone.. would she..?
