[Tadahoney] Their Chemistry

Seventh Grade

[A/N] Hi everyone! This first chapter will be a flashback if you couldn't tell by the title. Tadahoney is pretty much my only ship from Big Hero 6 and I came up with a fanfic with help from my friend @Blue-Choco_Jelsa so I'm really excited for this :)

"Okay class, before you sit down...I've made up new seating arrangements. Please remain standing."

13-year-old Tadashi Hamada anxiously jumped up and down with his San Fransokyo Ninjas cap brim bobbing up and down as he waited to find out who his new table partner would be. It was fifth period advanced science, his favorite class, and he just wanted to jump right into the lesson. He started thinking about the inventions he wanted to start with his 8-year-old brother, Hiro, when he heard his name being called.

"Tadashi Hamada, sit right here in the front with-"

"Honey Lemon! Just call me Honey Lemon!" At that moment, a tall girl with huge magenta glasses and long honey-blonde hair jumped up with her hand raised high. She skipped to her new seat next to Tadashi and perkily sat down, putting her colorful bag on the floor and grinning at Tadashi. "Well, come on! Sit down, sit down!"

Tadashi, smiling back, hesitantly sat down next to Honey and introduced, "Uh, hi, I'm Tadashi."

Honey Lemon giggled, her eyes sparkling. "I know, I've seen you around."

Tadashi laughed and thought to himself as he looked at Honey, She's actually really pretty...and cute...wait, where did this come from?! She doesn't seem interested, she's too nice...

Honey put her hand on Tadashi's arm, breaking his thoughts. "SO! Is science your favorite class too? It's totally mine! I just ADORE chemistry!"

Tadashi's eyes widened and he broke into a grin. "Definitely! Except, I think I'm really into robotics. I've made a bunch of inventions with my little brother, who skipped a couple grades. They're pretty cool."

"I'd love to see them one day." Honey Lemon cocked her head to one side. "You know, Tadashi Hamada, I think we'll be really good friends."

"I'm sure we will be. You should meet the rest of my 'nerdy' fri-" Tadashi caught sight of her super-pink notebook, filled with chemical equations and formulas. "Did you come up with those yourself?" he asked incredulously.

Honey blushed and looked away in embarrassment. "W-well, yea. Like I said, I'm wicked into chemistry. I'm trying to come up with something at the moment...something to make the world happier and...and brighter."

Staring at Honey in admiration, he smiled. "Not bad, Honey Lemon."
