I Loved You

Chapter Three

Throughout the week, I couldn't stop thinking about that man and his smile. It is the first time that I ever felt that way and I am confused, so I did the only thing I could ever think of—go to Austin's.

My jaw dropped as I saw the man that has been in my mind for the past week open the door from Austin's house.

"Hey!—" He said, then froze like he was just as surprised as I am. He stood like that for a second then crossed his arms like he was trying to remember something."Y-you're the guy from last week, right?" He pointed his finger at me as he asked.

"Y-Yeah.." I stuttered and scratched the back of my neck.

"Why don't-" Before he could finish his sentence Austin came to the rescue.

"What's going on?" He asked, he was still inside so he didn't see me. The man stepped aside, then pointed at me. "You have a visitor." He said.

Austin then peaked at the door and when he saw me he immediately pounced on me. "Theo! What're you doing here?" He asked.

"N-nothing," I answered as I tried to escape Austin's grip. "I got bored and I thought we could hang out." I continued when I finally freed myself. I glanced at the man who was at the door leaning with his arms crossed.

"Is that so? Then come inside!" He said, dragging me inside before I could even say no.

As soon as we entered inside, all the people looked at me with confused looks.

"I-I'm sorry I interrupted you, I didn't know Austin has guests today," I said while bowing. "T-then... Goodbye!"

"Where are you going?! Come hang with us, you said you wanted to hang out right?" Austin shouts while he grabbed me by the arm before I could get out.

"That's right." Said the man who opened the door earlier. "Yeah! Come hang with us!" Followed the three guys.

As the man got closer he reaches out his hand. "I'm Giovanni, Giovanni Anderson." He introduced himself.

I looked at his hand and then at his face, I noticed his dark eyes and thought they were the most beautiful set of eyes I've ever seen, his eyes really complimented his dark hair, and his smile was so sweet.

Before I knew it I felt my whole body burning up, I hesitantly reached my hands out to shake his. "I'm Theo, Theo Lee."

"I'm Caleb! Caleb Grey." The blue-haired boy with lots of piercings shouted as he popped out of nowhere while waving his hand.

The other two that seem like twins walk towards me.

"The name's Evan Jones, the twin of Ian's." The one on the left held his hands out as he introduced himself

"Ian Jones here~"

Said the other while waving his right hand and the other in his pocket.

"Well, that's everyone." Austin said as he put his hand on my shoulders. "Come on! Watch us play" he continued and led me to the living room while the others follow us.

They played for hours while I sat still in the corner, watching him and only him play, there was something about him that amuses me, maybe it's because of the way he played the electric guitar, or his physique, his arms, his fluffy hair, or the way he bops his head to the beat—whatever it is, I just can't take my eyes of him.

It was getting late so I excused my self and went home.

One week has passed since that day and Giovanni wouldn't stop following me. And it irritates me, I really misjudged him, "I really went from being amused by his every move to "fuck he's here again" I thought to myself.

Today is Wednesday, which means I have Math class, which means he has English class and it happens to be right next to each other.

I sighed when I heard the bell rang, I brush my hair with frustration. "Fuck." I leaned back on my seat and wait a little longer before I go out. After a few minutes, I look side to side to check if he's there waiting for me, "Thank god." I sighed in relief when I see no one at the corridor, I slowly walk out the classroom, still looking couscous.

When I reached his classroom, I gasped because someone grabbed my shoulder. "aah!! What the fuck Giovanni!" I screamed.

"Woah! I never thought you could snap like that, I thought you're always the submissive type, does that means you're comfortable with me now?" He teased.

"Will you stop following me!"

"Geez, I'm sorry." He said, putting his both hands on the air like some police officer told him to. "Hey—why are you being mean to me anyways, I've done nothing but be nice to you." He continued, putting his hands down.

"Nice? Is invading my personal space "nice"? We aren't even close-you're so annoying!" I screamed at him then walk away.

"Well I'm sorry for being annoying but I really want us to be friends, just give me a chance please?" He begged. "Only if you stop following me all the time like a lost dog, I need some space to myself sometimes you know." I replied and he nodded.

We walk through  the corridor for a while in silence then suddenly Giovanni broke the ice. "So... Where are we going?" He asked as he wrap his arm on my shoulder. "Personal space." I said sternly while removing his arm.

"Sorry, sorry"

"Cafeteria." I said while sighing.

We continued to walk in silence all the way to the cafeteria, when we got there, Gio put his hands on his pockets and gasped. "My wallet!" He screamed. "Wait here, I'll go get it." He was about to run when I stopped him.

"Don't worry, I'll buy us lunch." I said with a cold expression. 

"Really!" He said as his face lit up. As soon as I saw his smile, I melted. I felt my cheeks turning red and my heart beating fast. I turned to face him away but he seems to notice something is wrong.

"What's wrong." He asked. "It's nothing." I answered, still facing him away. He grabbed me by the shoulder and turned me to face him, he put his right hand on my forehead like he's checking my temperature. "You're so red, are you sure it's nothing?" He asked looking concerned.

For all my life, the only person that has looked at me with so much sympathy was Austin, so when I saw Giovanni looked at me that way, I felt emotions I didn't understand, it overwhelmed me... 

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." I said looking down, removing his hand on my forehead.  I looked up, and saw him with his hands covering his mouth looking red.

"Why's he embarrassed? What does this mean? does he like me? why?--" I brushed all my thoughts and cleared my throat. "Let's go?" 

After we finished ordering, I looked for seats while Giovanni went to go get utensils because we forgot to get some when Jake saw me and is coming towards me. He noticed I was holding two trays. "Did you finally got a friend you sore loser?" He said, as he slammed Giovanni's tray out of my hand.

Everyone in the cafeteria gasped as they heard a loud bang and came to look at us. "Who's this friend of yours huh?" he said as he's poking my forehead. I looked down to suppress my anger, "hey, answer me." Jake said as he continued to poke my forehead.  Soon all the students came to see what's going on and surrounded us.  This time, I felt even angrier, Jake finally crossed the line. "Come on--" 

Jake was about to yell at me again when Giovanni interrupted him. "Hey! what the fuck is going on?!" He yelled. "Is he your friend now? did you pay him to protect you?" He said in a mocking voice.  I formed my hands into a fist and gritted my teeth as I am getting angrier by the second. I'm done being picked on, I am tired of being picked on like this, this has to stop. 

As Giovanni was getting ready to fight Jake I threw my tray at him and yelled "Enough is enough!" which took everybody surprised.  Everyone then looked at me with disgust look and started whispering. I started to breath heavily as I realized what I've done. "I've got to get out of here, my father's gonna kill me, what the fuck is wrong with me..."
