"This is the place where we will get married, and on that day I will be the happiest man on earth." We were at our favorite beach, relaxing and just talking about our future— kids, career and wedding.

Sehun was more of the one in the relationship thinking about what we would be doing after graduating.

We actually started dating since we were freshman. We were neighbors and classmates, and I was assigned by the principal to tour him around the school on his first day because I know the campus "very well".

It started there, and we began to go to school together which then led to him dropping me off at home then finally confessing to me before summer started, which of course I accepted gladly as it was the first time that a guy asked me out to be his girlfriend.

It looked like the relationship was smoothly going but days before graduating as seniors, my parents just went into my room with a mix of saddened and angered face and told me that Sehun was gone... He left me without speaking to me or even a letter.

I waited for days, weeks, and months, but he didn't come back. He was actually my first boyfriend so I didn't know if him leaving me would mean that we're over or I should wait, but I settled for the latter to give me a peace of mind— which was not the case years after.

———-–—
2 years after our breakup and I'm here at our supposedly dream wedding place, and with another man, not that it matters anyway.

"Hey, are you okay? You look pale." Joongi carefully asks me as we were strolling through the beach with our shoes on our hands.

"I'm just a but dizzy, but it's fine let's just walk." I was actually hit with memories with him in this very place, making me remember the laughter and dreams we talked about here.

Joongi noticed me looking somewhere else and suddenly asked, "Not to be rude but, is this another place where you went with him? It's just that ever since I asked you to go to the places we went to, you look like you're thinking of... him."

"I'm usually not the type to share anything about him, but I guess I should." I hesitantly started off our conversation.

"Most places that we went to today were actually our favorite date places. It's funny how you coincidentally chose those places" I awkwardly laughed and he looked scared and confused with what I just said.

"Don't worry though, I don't feel as heartbroken as I was when I was walking here, so I guess thank you for bringing me here." He sighed and smiled at me.

At the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar silhouette. I looked back at Joongi then back to the shadow I saw and he was suddenly gone.

"Hey, what happened?! You look like you're gonna faint." He started panicking. "You know what I'll take you home, you need to rest" Joongi suggested.

"But I'm fine, I promise." I tried to shake it off but he insisted that I take a rest because my parents might get worried if my condition gets worse.

—————-—
I woke up in the middle of the night and was shocked to see that Joongi was at the small couch beside my bed. "Why are you still here? Aren't your parents looking for you already?" I whispered to him while looking at the ceiling as I don't have the energy yet to face him completely.

"I told them that I'll stay here and watch over you, I mean... not in a creepy way." He hesitantly replied while scratching his nape. My mom then entered the room when she heard that I was awake.

"I let him stay here because he insisted in taking care of you, I'm sorry I didn't ask for your permission first." Even though my mom forces me most of the time to date Joongi, she's still careful and takes my feelings into consideration, which makes me love and trust her even though she's stubborn at times.

"I'll leave you two here, go back to sleep and tomorrow we will go to the career fair." I totally forgot that it's tomorrow! Few months from now, I'll be graduating and be free. I can finally be independent!

I actually want to be a Fashion Magazine Editor-in-Chief for a famous magazine as I read a lot of those when I was a young girl. I remember, me and Sehun used to joke around that he would be a model and I would be the one publishing him in our covers. Although... I guess that's completely erased in my plans already.

I remember when I first met Joongi, he told me that he loves designing and that his dream was to be an art director— which is actually also in-line with my chosen path.

It's actually weird that he's also interested in this industry. I saw his portfolio and I just know that people will swarm over him and companies will choose him. Hopefully, both of us can be scouted tomorrow at the fair as this is my chance to grow and be famous in this industry.

I may not be with him in this journey that we promised to be together for, but I will do this for myself and my future.
