BAM!!! "HEY! Keep it down up there!" There was screaming. It filled the house. "SORRY!!" My room was a mess. Everywhere I stepped I would fall through clothes. My mom shook her head. As I came running down the steps my mom stopped me. "You need to sit down and eat." I sighed with sarcasm filling my lungs and sat down at the table. Mom set down a plate of food and I ate fast. I never finished my food. It was always half eaten. Before I could bounce my mom stopped me again. "We need to talk honey." I was worried but slowly sat back down again. Mom began, "This has to stop. You need to get yourself together. Your room is filthy and you barely even hang around the family." I sighed, "Look mom, I'm sorry it's just- I want to hang around with my friends before we move. You understand, right?" Before my mom could finish I stood up and ran out the door.
My friends were waiting for me at the park. I approached them and walked with them. "Soooo, what are we doing today guys?" I asked curiously. As they suggested ideas I was looking around. I noticed something weird on the ground and walked over to it. It was a gorgeous crystal. I looked at it as I started to walk away. Suddenly I felt the ground shake and my feet were stuck. I started to sink as I screamed for help. I struggled to stay above the ground and tried pulling myself up. No matter what I did it didn't matter. While I screamed for help my friends turned around and noticed me. They started running to me but missed me.
The last thing I saw was my friends trying to reach for me. As I fell voices spoke to me. I couldn't tell what they were saying at first but as I kept falling they started to make sense. I had no idea where or who they were but I just closed my eyes and I woke up on the ground. "Ugh.. w-where..?-" As soon as I opened my eyes the first thing I saw were people with pointy ears starring at me. My eyes opened wide as I sat up and inched away from them. Were they cosplayers?- I couldn't tell. I looked around me as my hearing adjusted.I heard tons of talking and laughter. I was in a village. Kids were outside playing and adults were watching them play and working little shops. The people in front of me were talking to me. "Miss? Are you ok?" I looked back at them and I nodded. They lent out a hand and I grabbed it. Although I was nervous and I didn't know them, something in me told me I could trust them. I was pulled up and I scratched my head. "Where- am I..?" The people informed me about the area and what to expect. "So.. I'm in a place called SpringHollow? And.. you guys are elves?" The two laughed. "Have you hit your head? 'Are you guys elves?' oh my." They kept laughing. "Apologies, we are laughing because you yourself are an elf."
At this point I wasn't as surprised as I was a few minutes ago. Though, it did come as a shock. All I knew was I wasn't on earth anymore. And I most definitely am not human anymore. I still had a ton of questions but I knew these people couldn't help me. As I waved bye I kept walking, still wondering. Where were my friends.. It felt like I was going to pass out. I heard some screaming and I turned. The screaming came towards a small house. Approaching it, I was scared of what was going on. Suddenly two adults and a kid on a- pig??- came barreling out the house. The kid and other pigs took off. The two adults saw me and ran to me. "Please help us! Our child is stuck on a rooch!" I thought of what I could do and an idea came to me.
I saw that they had similar works of a dirt bike. It looked more complicated to the ones on earth but I saw no other way. I grabbed it and started it up. It started driving and I held on for dear life. As I got used to it I saw a child riding on a rooch. So I went faster and caught up to them. I yelled out for the kid and held my hand out trying to balance the bike. He grabbed my hand and I pulled him onto the back of the bike. He held on to me as I did to the bike. Once he was safe I focused on getting the rooch's back. I sped up and circle in front of them. It scared them into running back. I felt as though there was some sort of cool music playing in the backround. Like... Holding out for a hero?-
I focused on getting the animals and kid safe home. As I revved the engine of the bike the rooch's picked up speed and we approached the house. I saw a fenced area at the back of the house. So I went to the heard's side and revved the engine. It made them move right and eventually the parents opened the fenced area and the rooch's went back in. As I got the animals in the pen I wrapped back around and kicked the fence closed. The latch slammed down and locked. I drove to the front of the house and stopped, letting the kid off.
The parents sobbed as they hugged the boy. "Thank you Miss, what can we do to pay you back?" I chuckled "Oh it's nothing. But uh, I don't have a place to call home so-" The parents cut me off, "Stay with us! We aren't the richest but we can afford another mouth to feed." Complete shock took over me and I felt something trailing my cheeks. Suddenly the family ran and hugged me. "Oh I'm sorry dear! We didn't mean to upset you! You don't have to stay here-" I hugged them back and let out a cry. "I'm sorry- I just- I'm a complete stranger and your letting me live in your home.."
The parents looked at each other and smiled. They continued to hug me tighter. "Oh it's no trouble dear. Nobody in SpringHollow wanted to help us. So having you help us was an incredible act of kindness. Its only fair to let you stay here since I assume nobody wanted to help you either." We kept hugging and they guided me to the inside of their house. I was shown a room, fed dinner, took a shower, and layed in bed. The boy came into my room. "My name is Wisp.. can- can I sleep with you tonight..." I smiled. Lifted my arm and blanket. He crawled next to me and closed his eyes. "Goodnight Wisp."
