Vivian sighed as she laid on her bed, the dark violet curtains not letting even a bit of light break free and flood the room. She ran her fingers through her dark blonde hair, the color she despised the most. That's how she became the way she was, bitchy and demanding.
She always wanted something more, which is why she felt as if she had a heart of black, as well as her soul. The blonde lazily swung her leg over the edge, getting up slowly and walking over to her shut door. She slowly opened it, yawning as she fixed her glasses and her hair as soon as she walked into the kitchen.
Her mother sat there, on her phone like usual and not even giving her daughter a glance until she piped up. "Can I have some food? I'm hungry.." She stated rather quietly, her voice sounding scratchy and awful. The girl had just gotten out of surgery a day ago, well, twenty three hours. She was supposed to be sleeping and not talking since her tonsils and tongue had been clipped, making her speech a little worse for the brief week she'd have to wait to talk again.
Vivian's mother just sat there, looking at her with the look she'd always given her. The 'are you an idiot?' look. She let out a small sigh and just left the kitchen, not giving her mother a second glance. The young girl shut the door, locking it and submerging into darkness yet again, flopping down onto her bed as her blue eyes stared up at the barely visible ceiling.
She let her hand reach over to her nightstand, checking the time. '3:15' her phone read, letting her know it was time to take her pill. She pressed the phone button to let the screen turn black, just like the rest of the room. Vivian grabbed the small pill bottle within her nightstand drawer, sitting up and glancing at the glass of water that had sat there for an hour.
The ice had already melted, leaving a still, full glass of water waiting for her to drink it. She opened the pill bottle, taking the small white object out of it. She closed the bottle, putting it aside. Her free hand took the glass, shoving the pill into her mouth and chugging it down with a glass of water in one gulp.
She coughed a bit, covering her mouth and trying not to choke as some water spilt onto her. Viv put her glass aside, removing her glasses and laying back down above the covers.
"Take me to Neverland.." She whispered quietly to herself, closing her eyes and escaping to her mad world.
