𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐀. Nobody knew when he would return. Or even if he would. Around a week after he left, he had came back home with a fresher state of mind.
Cora was ecstatic when she out that Edward has returned home. She knew he would return eventually but she can't lie and say the thought of him abandoning them didn't cross her mind. Although she acted so excited to see him, he could hear the distant thought in her mind. It made him feel guilty.

As she yaps into his ear, catching him up on everything that went on at school while he was gone, he just watched her with a guilty expression. He could see how much she truly valued him, probably more so than the rest of the family. Instead of speaking to her, he simply cuts her off mid sentence and pulls her into a tight embrace. Cora is stunned for a moment before hugging him back.
"I wouldn't abandon you guys. I'm sorry I made you think that." He mumbles, still holding her in his arms. Cora is quiet for a moment before replying, a small smile on her lips.
   "I know."

The next day at school was tense. Everyone was stressing out about Edward, nervous that he'd suck Bella dry in the middle of a hallway or some classroom.
"It's going to be okay." Alice breathed, attempting to reassure everyone. They all entered the cafeteria and Cora could already tell that Edward was beyond irritated with Alice.
"Of course, it is," Edward grumbled, pissed off that everyone was glancing back at him with worried looks.
"Chill out, Edweirdo." Edward was so close to snapping at all of them but they were just trying to help and he knew that. But nonetheless, it was pissing him off.

"She's not here yet. But the way she's going to come in... she won't be downwind if we sit in our regular spot." Cora groans as Alice speaks, pinching the bridge of her nose as they walk. She's also irritated.
"I'm sure Edward will be fine." She states, lifting her gaze and patting her brother on the shoulder.
"I'll be absolutely fine," Edward confirms. While they sit in their spots, Cora glances at them. Ultimately deciding that Alice will keep this up the entire time, she turns on her heel and heads towards her car. The sophomore had just turned 16, or that's what the world around her thought. She now had a license.
"Where is she going?" Emmett wonders, squinting at her retreating form.
"She's finding us rather annoying and is going to sit in her car."

Cora walks towards her 2005 Porsche Boxster, excited that she's finally getting a chance to test out the car stereo. She had only just gotten her car a few days ago and had already fallen in love with it.
Cora takes a seat in her car, shutting the door and pressing a few buttons on the console.

Finally, peace!

Without her realizing it, Edward stands outside of her car, smirking to himself as he hears her horrible singing. It almost made his ears bleed.
"Sitting pretty UPTIGHTLY! The knots, keep you at my side, upstairs in corners! Eye's blink for the crawl...." Cora's singing voice fades as she snaps her head to look out the window. Edward's smirk only grows as she scowls at him, slamming her door open to hit him and slinging her backpack over her shoulder as she got out.
"Class." Cora mutters, embarrassed as she walks past him and through the building doors.

"Have fun with your little snack!" Cora shouts back at him before weaseling her way through the crowds in the halls, looking for the gymnasium. Cora hated gym. It was her least favorite class even though she never got tired.
It was just so boring. What's the point of playing dodgeball when you can't even headshot them?
So instead of going to gym, Cora spins on her heel, backtracking and making her way back to the parking lot so she could head home.

Why'd I even walk over here?

The bell rang, indicating classes have started.
She turns a corner and is suddenly face to face with a teacher that stares down at her, their eyebrows raised.
"Do you have a hall pass?" Cora bites back a snarl, only 'wincing' in pain and gripping her stomach, feigning an injury.
"The coach said I didn't need one. I'm heading to the nurse." The lady nods, watching her suspiciously before adding on.
   "I'll walk you there."
