Chapter 6

"I can't believe you got asked out on a date by James Raizel, The James Raizel" Julie said while she and Haruki looked at Eve in disbelief. "Why are you both looking at me as if I killed an innocent puppy in front of your faces?" Eve asked, arching her perfectly shaped eyebrow.

"We just can't believe it! He even became a stuttering mess just by asking you!" Haruki whisperly shouted. "He's head over heels for you!" Julie shouted with a worried expression forming on her face. "Why are you guys worrying about this, its not like I'm jumping off a cliff" Eve asked yet again.

She and her friends had finished their breakfast at Haruki and Eve's dorm to avoid Jenny and her group of friend on their popular table, they ended up gossiping about Eve's previous encounter with James Raizel, it took a toll on their time as well which ended up finishing eating on 7:49 am, almost time for attending their classes.

“I’ll see you guys later” Eve started looking at her watch, making sure she’ll made it on time for her History class. Its was Tuesday today , which means her schedule with Haruki changed within the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, and she has class with both Haruki and Julie on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

Both Saturday and Sunday are their Holiday to do homework and relax so as all the other students, except for student councils.

She waved her friends goodbye and walked to the hallways, ignoring the looks she was receiving. Funny, she thought when the group of the popular people weren’t talking about the news on the school’s gossip page first thing on the morning.

Since the school’s gossip page owner was still called anonymous, she thought that the owner would probably one of the students councils, or someone who has eyes and ears all over he school. Definitely the principal didn’t know anything about the schools gossip page, its was only a given website that was written on the back of the school paper, barehanded.

Walking inside the History classroom, she noticed a noisy crowd of students, sitting in one circle of chair. Definitely one of them are one of the popular students, as she got closer she noticed a guy with jet-black hair, green eyes, along with glasses, he kinda reminds him of a Sakamoto from an anime show.

Shaking her head, she took a seat near a familiar brown hair, nerdy glasses and brown eyes, after trying to remember who he was, she found out that he was the boy who delivered the three breakfast meals to Jenny, who ignored him and didn’t eve remember his name when she e asked him a favor.

Eve then decided to try and talk to him since he was spacing out probably sad at how Jenny neglected him.

“Hey, Theodore was it?” Eve asked as she and the boy made eye contact, the boy froze for a second in panic but them quickly regained his position to reply a Eve. “Y-Yeah, so umm, How are you doing?” Theodore replied while stuttering, not expecting for Eve to start a conversation to him.

“I’m good, do you know when the teacher is coming?” Eve said trying to make the conversation ease for Theodore not to feel pressured. “I don’t know actually, Mrs. Hobbs has never been late, she’s usually on time for class” He replied with a shrug as he thinks of another conversation to start with Eve, wanting to talk to her more.

“Thats weird” Eve replied to Theodore. As if summoned, Mrs, Hobbs came inside the classroom panting, she then began to breath in slowly and then walk to her table. She placed her bag on her seat and began to take sheets of paper that looked like an assignment.

“Mr. Domingo, may you please approach the teacher table and pass this to your classmates” Mrs. Hobbs said calling for the person behind Theodore who gladly accepted their teachers request and stood up to take the papers.

After the guy passed the papers to all the student who were present inside the classroom, Mrs. Hobbs walk towards the blackboard and began to write ‘La Bete de Gévaudan’

“Today we are discussing some legends that are according to greek history. Reminder that this isn’t going to be shown in the test that you all will be receiving from the Quarter 1 test, this is just extra points to earn and an observation of act for the parent-teacher conference” Mrs. Hobbs explained turning around to face the students when she finished writing on the board.

In the end of the class she gave us an assignment on researching about the topic that we discussed today ‘La Bete de Gévaudan’. Eve and Theodore parted ways as soon as they said their goodbye, knowing well that their schedule was different and that they don’t want to be late for their next subject.

The other classes she went to was going quite good and not taking a single break to finish all of her classes, even if it was still early. Some of them were quite boring without her friends and even Theodore. 

Eve walked to halls walking straight to the library, she peeked on the table of the librarian to see Yohan reading a book about the Law of Nature. Since she already used all of her library pass last time she plans to sneak in while no students were available to use the library.

She planned to finish all of her classes first and then engage on sneaking in the library. A few seconds later she stared at her hand and then back at Yohan, making an imaginary light bulb lit up on the top of her head.

She remembered the sleeping spell she accidentally used on herself, she then points her finger on Yohan direction and muttered “Durmino” and with that Yohan started to doze off, he tries to shake his head to snap out of it but the spell was too powerful and he ended up sleeping on his chair.
