Morning came faster than you would've hoped. Despite being hopeful at the prospect of what could happen, you always dreaded the day when you first woke up. The sun glared at you through the multitude of windows in the cabin, and for a moment you cursed yourself for not sleeping in the kids room with the bunk beds.

Still, you heaved yourself up into a sitting position, muscles stiff from yesterday's activities. Seàn was still asleep on the couch blocking the door, an arm dangling off the side as he snored. You managed a smile as you stood, stretching your entire body as you did so.

Padding your way into the kitchen, you opened the cupboards and cracked open a can of peaches and a can of pears, diving into the former and finishing it off within minutes. You simply stood in the silence, admiring the cabin as you leaned against the counter. It seemed like everything you saw made you think nowadays, and you wondered how much it would cost for a family to sleep here for a weekend, or what kind of families this kind of place hosted.

By the time you finished off the can, Seàn woke up with a stretch and an overexaggerated groan. You tried your best to hide your smile as he made his way over, but the smile toying on his face told you that he saw your happiness. You grabbed a spoon for him as he snatched up the can of pears, eating silently as you moved back to your couch.

"I was thinking of checking out that RV place just outside of here," you mentioned. "Maybe they'll have a map I can look at, see where we're going."

Seàn swallowed his food and nodded. "Sounds good."

You left the conversation at that, nodding as you checked your bag. When Seàn was finished with his food, you brought the bags over and split up whatever non-perishables were left in the kitchen from the previous family.

It didn't take long for you to be pushing the couch from the door and heading on your way. The sun was warm on your head and back as you trekked back to the front of the camp, stopping hesitantly when you reached the bathrooms.

"Wanna see if we can clean up a little?" You asked, nudging your head to the side.

Seàn took in the small building, nodding after a moment. "Yeah. I feel fucking disgusting, so if there's anything we can do about it then I'll take it."

You split from Seàn when you had to go into the women's side and him into the men's. In your section, a single zombie was trapped in the handicapped stall, which you easily took care of. You presumed there had to be some sort of power or water pump system, but you were proved wrong when you approached the sinks and attempted to turn the knob. Sighing, you headed outside to find a fuse box or a generator, finding Seàn at the back of the building as well. He must've had the same idea.

After looking around, you found a small trail splitting the bushes, and hope bloomed in your chest. Lightly slapping Seàn's arm, you grabbed his attention and turned it to the trail. He led the way and you followed, smiles splitting your faces when you found a large black and yellow generator sitting on a patch of gravel.

It took a moment to figure it out, but the roar of the generator filled your ears, hurting your head for a brief moment until your ears adjusted to the noise. "Come on, let's hurry this up. All this noise is only gonna draw more of 'em in."

Nodding, Seàn headed back to the bathrooms. When you stepped inside, the noise of the generator had ceased, and you found that the tap you had turned on earlier was steadily spewing water into the basin. A relieved smile stretched your features and you reached for the tap, turning it off so you could head to the showers.
