First story: DarkLight
I was taking my usual walk in the meadows, they were far from home, but I knew the way back, so there was nothing to worry about. I was still thinking about what had just happened, about Kyle, I still couldn't assimilate it.
Suddenly a feeling of insecurity invaded my body, I was in an unfamiliar place, a strange hallway, how far had I gone? There was a door on the other side of the corridor, I decided to see what was on the other side, but when I started to walk towards it...
I realized after a few seconds. I wasn't moving forward, but at the same time I was. I was walking, but I was not approaching the door. I was walking, and I was leaving behind what had already passed me by. Maybe I was just going too slow? I started running, this was getting weirder, the door was getting farther away. I ran faster. It was going further away. Faster. Farther away. I kept going like this for several minutes, until I gave up, decided to look back. I couldn't see the beginning of the corridor, if there ever was a beginning.
It seemed like an endless loop, an infinite corridor. I began to stress. How was I going to get out of there? How had I ended up there? Why wasn't I moving forward? Why did my ankle hurt so much? Wait, my ankle? I looked down at my ankle, something weird, no, not the next thing, was happening. My leg was turning black, literally black, with a white surround around it.
At that point, my foot hurt so much that I couldn't even walk. The black spot jumped off my foot, only to attach seconds later to my arm, which felt like it was going to fall off at any moment. With my foot recovered, and my left hand holding my right arm, as if to stop the thundering pain I was in, I started running faster than ever. Whatever that thing on my arm was, I was convinced that if I got out of there it would be gone, an illogical thought, which was my only hope at that moment, as it was spreading down my shoulder, and would soon reach my chest.
I could barely run at a pace faster than my usual pace, which was interrupted when the hallway began to turn black as I did. The white outline was still everywhere, not just on my arm, but all over the hallway, now corrupted by whatever this thing was.
Was this really the end? Such a rushed ending, so immediate, it seemed like ten minutes had passed, three hours had actually passed. Funny how we lose track of time, I thought. That was the moment when I realized that it was really the end, it had already spread to my whole torso and legs, only my head was left, which was quickly consumed by this strange virus. I woke up in the dark, I emitted a white light despite being completely covered in the darkest color.
On the bright side, no one could disturb me here. It will be just me and the darkness. And so it will always be...
