(Her pov)
Meet me peepz.... Mallika Singhal here. Call me unlucky or bad luck whatever, though I'm both....

Belonging to an orthodox family and having stereotypically strict parents are the worst thing u can ever have... It's nothing more than a blessing that they atleast gave me a chance to study, for my education. Still they're not much interested about it..... Just they know comparison and the output.

My hard work, my ideologies especially my own talents doesn't have any value to them.... The only thing they can do well is taunting me for my unknown sins which may not be any sin also according to me.

"Mallika come down we're late for the party"

Rehana Singhal, my mom said from the downstairs. We're the average people not so much rich not so much poor. We're going to my father's boss's marriage anniversary party and my parents are excited to the extreme level to see such a royal arrangement. Well, I'm completely exceptional to them..... I like parties but comparatively the smaller ones! The homely parties are much better.... Amongst the closed ones, sitting around a bonfire.... Playing guitar and singing a song by the singer of the family, enjoying each other's company and deliciously prepared food by nani. Uk, old is gold and nani's old recipes are always devouring. This is divine.

*Horn sounds*

Ohkay! So I gotta go by now.... Cause If I won't then my parents will definitely rush there first leaving me behind. Although I don't care.
Vinay Singhal, my dad.... Um... I don't wanna say about my parents anymore. They're such boring characters...

I got up from my seat and adored myself for the last time in the mirror. I smiled to myself.... Call me self obsessed or egocentric..... But ya... I'm very much into making myself look perfect. And definitely high makeup ruins my perfection..... So ya.... Whatever it is.... I don't like makeups that much💁.

I went down carefully holding my gown that touched the ground almost. It was very cozy and definitely of my dam choice. It's a crimson colored sleeveless gown with net and crystals embroidered on the whole body.

"Oh god! Come on Mallika do fast" My mom hurried me to get up to the car and I followed it.

Our journey started................

In the whole time, my heart was pondering like drums, I was feeling very weird like something I know but just unaware of its original face.... I smacked my over thinker mind for thinking such weird things that don't even exist.

Huff!! Finally we've reached the place. I was feeling pretty awkward with the surroundings though everyone greeted us humbly but I don't like more publicity. Simplicity is what defines me and my character and that is what I like the most, that's why being un in the middle of a huge crowd is just increasing my nervousness. My parents got mixed up with the people as they knew each other being colleagues. I decided to sit in a corner.

"Mom dad u guys talk I'm there in the corner counter"

"Ok fine"

I went there and comforted myself coming out of the huge lime light. I looked at my boring surroundings and sighed. There was nothing interesting like me.... If it would have been friends party na!! Dam... I would've been the heartthrob of that party, pouring the real soul in that.... But.... Unfortunately it was not.... I ordered a soft drink then.

I was sipping it slowly when my attention was grabbed by a middle aged yet graceful couple. They were shining in diamonds and costly dresses. The whole limelight on them. They came on the stage and stated,
