It was still dark when my mother entered my room yelling for me to get up. She was weirdly sober and nervous and I didn't exactly understood what was she saying or what was happening but I figured that we were going on some kind of trip when I saw that there were some bags in the hallway and when she finally turns around looking in my direction and throws a purple tank top, my red jacket and a pair of jeans at me.

-Put this on, take your shoes and meet me downstairs, we are going to Aunt Candace's work- She says and leave while I got up to do what she told me. When I was all dressed up and with my black converse on my feet, I got downstairs and my mom was waiting for me right by the door as if I was the only thing keeping her in the house, she was also ready to leave with my backpack in her hand and her bag in her back.

-c'mon we need to get there before sunrise - She says already opening the garage door which made me run and get in the car as fast as I could, then mom got in the car and we left.

Aunt Candace was my mom's friend, the only one who she really liked. Not that this was really hard, Aunt Dede was sweet and caring. She was like a second mom to me. She was a scientist, and worked at a really important place with her husband and others scientists, mom and I always would pass there to see her or to give her a ride in my way to school. I always loved it.

-The roads to Atlanta are rea... - the static started, just like the other radio channels every time they would start talking about something like attacks and disease, this was the last one mom tried.

-Shit, we have to leave town as fast as possible; our only hope is that the C.D.C is still letting people in and not in quarantine yet, Dede is our last chance of escaping from all this - My mom talks more to herself then to me.

-Scaping from what exactly mom? - I finally said something ever since I woke up

-The attacks, Isabella. We will explain everything for you in the morning, now go to sleep - mom says trying to hide how nervous she was.

As we drove, I tried to understand what she meant with "the attacks", but gave up, hopping that she would really explain to me what was happening. While thinking about everything that was happening, I thought about daddy, did he know what was happening? Was he also leaving town? Should we warn him? I know that he left us and he was the one who never called or answered any of my calls, but he still my dad, I mean, if this thing is so bad like my mom is saying, then we should alarm him because I don't want anything bad to happen to him. This was the last thing I remember before falling asleep and just woke up when we were in Atlanta already, almost at Aunt Candace's job.

When we arrived, there was lots of people from the army, all in camo and walking around with big guns and all of them looked like they were mad or angry with something. When we tried to get in, two of these mans stopped us but just when they were starting to say something we see Aunt Candace coming in our direction, and pushing the guards away.

-What the hell? these are my sister and niece - she says while hugging my mom - Addison I am so sorry for them; they don't know what they are doing - she said looking at them with an angry face and took us inside with a smile to me. Once we got in the convivence room she started talking

-Belly you are so big! How old are you? 18? - she says while messing my hair and I laugh

-Candace, why did you tell the officers that I am your sister? Are they like, blocking the outsiders already?
