It had occured to Izuku, that no matter how hard he tries, he would never outrun an immortal.
With the power to manipulate time itself and go to various different timelines to explore and see how humanity will be, Izuku was having the time of his life. Not until he kept meeting the same person in each lifetime.
Today wasn't an exception. Because a hundred years from the present, stood the owner of the same crimson eyes and the ashy blonde hair that stood up in different directions- an amused grin plastered in his features.
"Even if you decide to go a thousand years, you will see this face." The man smirked.
"Can't it, Katsuki." Izuku spoke, trying to sound as if he wasn't bothered that the immortal being knew exactly where his teleporting spot will be.
But Katsuki saw through it. "You know. Travelling a hundred years from the present had shook your head a little, didn't it? Izuku, that meant we've been doing this for timelines, I'd know where you'd land."
Izuku rolled his eyes. Maybe he should go back to the time where they were still a child. Rewrite the past and stop the bond of rivalry to happen so that both of them won't be stuck in this ridiculous cycle of besting each other- Izuku had thought of that. But changing something in the past would affect the present and the future, a lot of things could happen if one- given the power to manipulate the time- touches an event to change it. Katsuki could be gone, or he could be dead even before he gets the chance to switch between timelines.
He shivered under that thought. As much as he hates knowing that he would never surpass a man who can't die, he would prefer a cycle of trying than not seeing his face at all.
Because what Izuku feared the most, was being in a future where there is no Katsuki Bakugou at all.

Bright, yellow rays shined through the curtain of Izuku's apartment, a daily reminder that he should get up and start the day. He wasn't a normal human being. With his powers, he was deemed to protect the time, all past, present and future, from others who possessed the same capability as he does.
He turned to the other side of his bed, the owner of it being gone- only the messy blankets and disorganized pillows left for Izuku to see that someone had slept on it.
Izuku stood up, got dressed and headed straight to the kitchen- finding the immortal rival that he's fond of, cooking breakfast for the both of them. He sat on the stool and admired the view, this is their last day together before they go back to their shenanigans of who can outrun the other.
"You're awake. Morning, beautiful." Katsuki softly said, the plate full of pancakes settled in front of the greenhaired, his soft hands caressing the freckled cheek of Izuku.
The time traveler couldn't help but melt under his touch, Katsuki had always been so stubborn but he was also sweet, caring- someone who don't deserve the loneliness that comes with his abilities.
"Don't you get lonely, Katsuki?" Izuku muttered, eyes reflecting the shallowness of feelings he felt for the blonde boy.
Katsuki smiled, a genuine one that made Izuku's heart fluttered, butterflies swirling around his stomach as the immortal intertwined his hands on his. Katsuki leaned in to give his hand and his wrist a kiss. "I would never be." He said, he searched for the green-haired's eyes and when he found it, he chuckled. "You're with me in every lifetime, Izuku. That's what our bond did."
Katsuki leaned in for a kiss and Izuku gradually responded, a foreign feeling of not wanting to let go of this moment clinging desperately in his heart.
