Y/N's pov :

I woke up and went downstairs while rubbing my eyes in hope that they would open fully. I sat on the dinning table which was near the kitchen.

"Good morning, Y/N" my mom greeted me with a smile and I smiled back even if I was too tired and sleepy to do so. But if I didn't and my mom got triggered then this would probably be the last day of this beauty on this beautiful planet. Hey! I just complemented myself, this day should be celebrated. I quickly took my mom's phone from the kitchen counter since my phone was upstairs and opened snapchat. I started clicking selfies from different angles and with different filters, giving different and pretty weird expressions. That's what my mom must have thought because she was giving me weird, judgy looks but I didn't care. I quickly sent it to everyone with the sticker "Feeling cute".

My mom shook her head and chuckled a little as I was smiling like a freak. I gave her phone back and went to my room and got ready. I went downstairs and bid goodbyes with my mom and went to school. I was walking myself to school since it's not that far from my house. I kept walking until I reached one of my friends's house.

"Bro, you are late for the 8th time this week" grandma. Now who will tell her that there are just 7 days in a week and school is just for six days out of seven.

"Yeah, yeah. Now don't waste time and let's go" I said and she was about to go until some dog started barking.

"Kuma!" Sigh. It's her dog, now it's gonna take her a lifetime to go.

"I'm leaving" I said and started walking ahead. I could hear her still playing with her dog and talking to it in a baby-like tone in the most cringy way. These days, not even mothers talk to their kids the way pet lovers talk to their pets. Here this girl's bestfriend is leaving and all she cares about is if her dog peed or not? God, what will happen to this world?

"Hey bro, wait!" She said, her voice getting closer. Since my back was turned to her, I couldn't see her but she was definitely running towards me. Finally.

"No no, just go to your kuma already. Play with him, why are you even bothering about me?" I stated sarcastically. She rolled her eyes and said.

"Whatever, now who is wasting time huh? " Let's go already.

At school

"Hey! Y/N, Jennie. You're here"

"Markie!" Jennie went towards him and gave him a high-five. And like every normal college students, we also had our own group. It was just the three of us- me, Jennie and Mark. We were the best of friends. We would share everything with each other and would always stay together. I don't know how cringe this might sound but we were kinda the boss of our class. Not because Jennie and Mark belonged to one of the most high class families in the city or my mother was very good friends with our principal. But because we, mostly I, would pick up fights with litrally every person with a bad attitude. And these days, everyone wants to be cool and control everyone around them, specially at schools and colleges. It's been a year since I joined this uni and met Jennie and Mark and it was so far the best year of my life.

"Mark, baby!" A high pitched voice took me out of my thoughts. God, why did she have to show up right now?

"Don't annoy me right now, Mina" Mark said being annoyed at the girl. Mina, she was one of the many girls which had proposed Mark but were rejected. I feel pretty bad for her but angry at the same time, not because she would always stay near Mark like a bee around honey but because I think that she should have some self-respect. Like- I wouldn't even give a fuck about the guy who would reject me. Girls don't need anyone and Mina definitely didn't need Mark. But again- love is love. Whatever.
