At Dining Table
The atmosphere around the table was serious. Unlike the usual blast these siblings are known for, there had been a certain quiet quietness in the air.
This serenity was suffocating the siblings but none of them could say a thing. All of them had to bear for the sake of each other. Only the clatter of spoon and forks were heard with periodic slurps of juice.
Their parents were tensed, sensing something was certainly wrong, but none of them had any idea as to how to break the ice. Gathering all of her courage, Mrs. Kim finally decided to voice her thoughts and worries.
Mrs. Kim: Is anything wrong dear?
Listening to her question, the siblings shifted their questioning gaze towards her making their father look at them in anticipation.
Jin: Why do you ask mom?
He asked in an octave deeper voice, confirming the doubtful thoughts of the head Kims.
Mr. Kim: You kids are unusually quiet.. Is something wrong? Did you fight?
He asked swiping the beads of sweat from his forehead as he felt heat rise in the room because of tension.
Namjoon: No dad.. just..
Mrs. Kim: Just what dear? Share it with us..
She asked scared if something serious happened.
Hobi: No mom.. it's just the maknaes..
Mr. Kim: What did they do?
He asked turning his eyes towards the four seated beside Mrs. Kim.
JK: It was Y/n, dad..
He said silently chewing his food.
Now every pair of eyes settled on your unusual silent figure who was sitting way too straight for your usually slouched posture.
Mrs. Kim: What is it, Y/n? Did you guys fight? Did you or any of them say anything?
You sighed as you placed your spoon on the plate and looked up to see her face.
Y/n: No mom..
You said with the most serious voice you could gather although you were trembling inside.
Mr. Kim: Something is definitely wrong.
He whispered to Mrs. Kim who nodded in agreement.
Mrs. Kim: Definitely.. and something big had happened otherwise there would have been flying noodles till now considering they prefer physical fight over verbal ones.
Mr. Kim: And there has been no scratch marks on either of the maknaes, that means they said something serious to each other. Are you sure they are our kids only? Were they somehow changed overnight?
Mrs. Kim: Even their eyes seem fine. Otherwise last time Y/n made Jungkook's eye turn blue for a whole day from her punch. This seems uncanny..
Jimin: You know for someone who is whispering, you two are way too loud.
