Summary: Y/N and Lizzie are roommates at college and it's Y/N's birthday.

Y/N had woken up that morning by someone violently shaking her shoulder. She attempted to open her eyes before giving up and closing them again. "Come on Y/n wake up!" Lizzie cried, beginning to bounce on her bed. Y/n smiled slightly to herself before opening her eyes. When Lizzie noticed her eyes open she squealed with delight and jumped off the bed to go and find something.
Y/n sat up and watched her with curiosity as Lizzie reached down the side of her bed and pulled out a cube shaped item wrapped in blue paper.
Blue was Y/n's favourite color and she smiled softly when she realised that Lizzie had remembered. Lizzie turned back towards her dramatically before handing the gift over.
"Happy Birthday Einstein", she said.
Einstein had been a nickname that Lizzie had given her when they were eight years old. Y/n was always top of the class and talking about scientific facts so the nickname happened easily.
Y/n looked up at Lizzie with happy eyes before tearing off the paper. Underneath she found a book that had the words "Lizzie and Y/n" written on the front in cursive handwriting.
Lizzie nudged Y/n to open it and she did. Inside she found photos of her and Lizzie in chronological order, from when they were three years old to just a couple of weeks ago. Y/n flicked through the pages of memories and tears began to form in her eyes.
There was a picture of the two of them as four year olds on a seesaw smiling at the camera. Eight years old and at the beach, soaked from swimming in the sea. Twelve years old and holding a trophy after a successful soccer game. Sixteen years old and at Y/n's brothers wedding, with their arm around each other and showing off braces on their teeth. Seventeen years old and sat in their room they share at college smiling and doing peace signs.
As Y/n scanned the pictures each memory flooded in her brain, bringing her joy. She looked up Lizzie and gave her a massive hug.
"Thanks Lizzie, I love it so much"
"Your welcome Einstein".
