Bella's POV

Most of the time, people who came from the country side has a certain stigma around them. People from the city usually looks down on them and just ignore their whole existence. Other's however may feel pity and try to befriend them to see if the stereotype around country folks are true.

"They're too naïve for the city"

"I heard they're gullible. They tend to trust people easily"

"They won't last a week here."

I don't really blame them. The media tend to show people the traditional happenings in the country side instead of researching new developments. It's always the same; trees, farms, animals, carefree living. I admit that we still have some of those but to ask us if there's a mall in my hometown, of course there is. We live in the 21st century now. Those blockheads think we travelled to the city by means of a time machine.

I sneaked a glance at the gathered crowd in front of the school's office. I came to get my schedule and my ID since I'm starting school here in Kali University. It took a lot of begging and chores just so my parents can say yes. All those promises I had to make and an hour long lecture was worth it. Starting a new life in the city is what I need.

I noticed the crowd was dispersing to I hurriedly went up front to get what I needed.

"I'm here for my subject schedule and my ID please." I said to the staff at the other side of the window.

"Name." She said with a monotone voice without even look up from her screen.

I frowned a bit because of her behavior but I just shrugged it off. No need to show my horns here. So I just copied her tone "Perez, Belladonna."

She began typing on her keyboard, and when she was done her printer started printing my schedule. Without even standing up from her chair, she slid across the room and rummaged through some ID until she found mine and went to get some lanyard for it and went back to her original place.

"Your class starts next Monday. Here is your schedule and ID." handing me the things through the small hole on the window. "The name of your professors are written there, including their contact information. If you have any questions about your subjects, ask them. Goodbye. Have a nice day. Next!"

I took what she handed and went out of the line. She's not that old but she acts like one. I stared at the paper she gave and it made me roll my eyes. I have night classes. I internally made a groan. It's possible to have night classes but it's rare. I can't complain now because classes start next week.

I looked at my phone and it's almost 4 pm. I still have time to spare so I might as well be familiar around the campus. This isn't that big compared to universities that are well known but it has a similar vibe to my hometown which is nice. It doesn't lack in trees and plants so I can still breathe some fresh air.

I started walking inside the campus, even though its not that huge, you can't call it small. There's a park with trees for shades and the grass may seem like a nice cushion. I hope it isn't the type to poke your butt. The building surrounding the park aren't connected and have name of their own.
