Chapter 5

* Hyun Jae's P.O.V *

I went down to the dinning room for dinner. Butler Kang and the maids were waiting for me standing in their positions.

I entered the dining room and sat down.

I was served steak with two kinds of sauce at the side, mushroom and barbecue sauce.

" Thank you for the food. " I said without any expression.

Ever since I was young, mom and dad was barley home. I was always spending time with my own and the maids they hired.

* Hyun Jae's Flashback *

" Mom? What time will you be coming home? I haven't seen you in a long time. " I said over the phone.

" Hyun Jae ah, mom is working. Dad is on a company trip. I'll be home at 11:00 pm tonight. " mom answered.

" But mom I will be asleep already. And I miss you! " I said while tears build up in my eyes.

" Mom will be off on Sunday. How about we go to the amusement park? I'll make it up to you okay? " mom said.

" Okay! Promise! " I said excitedly.

- On Sunday -

I tried calling mom but it kept going to voicemail.

" Mom? Where are you? I'm in the amusement park already. " I asked mom over the phone.

I went home feeling disappointed.

Then I had a voicemail.

" Hyun Jae ah, I'm really sorry I suddenly had an important meeting with the company. " mom said.

* End of flashback *

Tears started coming down my eyes. Butler Kang asked me if everything is alright. I got up, leaving my unfinished did on the dining table and went back to my room.

" I hate how my life is so empty. " I whispered to myself.

* So Yu's P.O.V *

We finished eating, and Jong Jae left. I went upstairs and do my revision.

Suddenly I got an anonymous text.

" You won't be able to live another day. "

Someone was blackmailing me. Different thoughts came into my mind. I thought that it was a prank from Chae Yeon.

I turn off my phone and went to bed.

- The next morning -

My alarm went off and I got up.

When I was brushing my teeth, I kept thinking about the text from last night.

" Maybe it was sent to the wrong person. Yeap, that has to be it. " I said in my head.

I got out of the shower and wore my uniform.

I went to school without eating my breakfast. I didn't have any appetite today.

I got to school and ready to meet with Chae Yeon. Not long she appeared with her two other friends.

" Hey asshole, why don't we pick up where we left off yesterday? " Chae Yeon said.
