Chapter eight(Befriending kaita )

Kaita walked to Anna's workroom.
‘why did he want me to work in is chamber ? Why not any palace maid.'
She knocked before entering into the work room. Anna looked at her; noticing a frown from Kaita .
" you came earlier than I expected. What's wrong kaita."
Kaita sat down on the floor. She took off her hood .
"The prince want me to work in is chamber."
Anna looked so much confused, with different emotions on her. Sadness, curiouity, and worries.not long after kaita statement, the royal Maid from the express came to Anna's work room.
"The express, seek your presence. Kaita."
Kaita looked her mother, she picked her purple hood and wore it.
"I'll be back, mama." She said and left. Kaita followed the maid to the express court room. She bow her head , in sign of respect.
"Raise Kaita."
Kaita raise her head.
" I think you are so weak This morning."
"No your highness. I can do my duty well."
". You are to change duty , I supposed."
"Your highness."
"My son , needs a maid in is chamber. "
The express looked at kaita.Even though kaita is young she looks wise within. Kaita is so glue to Anna that she those not want to do any other palace job than washing the prince clothes or the palace guards 's cloth .
" your highness, pardon me. My duty as a laudary girl...."
" I don't want my subjects to think I'm heartless enough to treate a nine year old girl in a harsh manner by giving her my son clothes to wash or even the guards clothes. Everyone in this palace is treated with respect both young and old."
Kaita could not say anything else but the throught of her mother came into her mind,what situation will she be; she is getting old and weak day by day. Oh no poor mother.
" but...."
" your mother will be helped by the palace maids daily. And, you will resume duty tomorrow morning." The express said and stood up from the throne and left her court with her royal excort following her at her back.
               Kaita went back to her mother work room and met her sleeping. She checked her dinning table and saw the foods untouched.
" Mother, "
She walked to the bed she laid on. She squat and tapped her gently. Anna woke up looking at Kaita with her dozing eyes.
"Mother, you left your food untouched."
Anna smiled at her.
" that's because I was waiting for you to come quickly."
"I'm back, come. Let eat."
Both Anna and Kaita walked up to the table and sat. Kaita passed Anna 's food to her side.
"You met with express, what does she say?"
Kaita breath out her sorrow and looked at Anna.
"She want me to serve the prince in is chamber, "
"And?" She asked
"And I'm starting tomorrow."
"What would you do, kaita. I don't want anyone to know about your ability ."
"Is it that dangerous? I wish you let me manipulate the mind of the express ."
" don't even think about it . its better you do what she says then."
"But what can I do? I don't want to be...."
"Eat your food its getting cold." Anna immediately interrupted, before Kaita could say anything.
          As early as possible in the morning , kaita woke up and dressed up to prepare for her morning duty. She walked to the prince room ; and opened the door quietly. She walked to the bedroom and saw the prince still sleeping. She quietly walked to is bed and stood up straight , clearing her throat before waking him up.
"Good morning prince Ravein." She said trying to wake him up. Immediately Ravein opened is eyes; Kaita took six steps away from him with a smile on her face.
" I will prepare your bath." she said bowing down and walked away from is presence. Ravein knew that kaita is not comfortable around him.jumbing into the conclusion to tamed her will be too much on her because she is still young. He throught that the best thing is to befriend her.
             Ravein stood up from the bed and walked to the bathroom since Kaita called him to the bathroom.
"You may leave." he said , as he stepped into the bathtube. With gladness , Kaita left the bathroom. For the first time in history, Ravein bathe himself, he didnt bother much on that and continue to wash is long black hair. Kaita was still in the room looking for cloth for him, she place a long black pant  on is bed with pairs of black boots on the floor. He place a white long steve on is bed. After Ravein finished is bathe ; he dressed up and took is breakfast with Kaita beside him. Ravein looked at kaita and noticed that she wasn't eating the meat on her plate.
"Why ain't you eating the meat."
Kaita took the teacup and drank all the tea in it.
" I'm allergic to meat. At least I'm okay with the tea. "
" then eat some bread I will call the maids to...."
"No, no , no need for that. The grape fruits and strawberries will do. Thanks your majesty." She bowed
"Well, if that is the case. Follow me for horse ridding."
" well your majesty, your rooms are still unkept. Please allow me to go back to my duty after this."
" the maids are on it."
" the express and your father will consider me as a lazy maid, your majesty. "
Ravein stood up from is sit and walked up to Kaita . he leaned further to her , making their face so close to each other.
" what did I tell you yesterday? Your excuses are lame. Follow me without any complain."
Kaita kept quiet and stood up to follow him. Kaita felt uncomfortable with glaring from each maidens in every corners of the palace. Ravein threw is black boots and jacket at kaita. Ravein and kaita walked to the stable , Ravein commanded is horse out with a whistle while kaita raise is hood cover and tide her hair in a ponytail. Kaita noticed her hair as grew longer, she wondered why her hair as grew longer all of a sudden. She quickly cover her hair sensing Ravein staring at her. Ravein snapped out of is glazed and climbed on the black horse.

The empore  and is chiefs were walking around the palace when they saw Ravein and Kaita at the stable. The empore stood to observed the two closely. Ravein was staring at kaita as she tired her  orange hair in a ponytail. He noticed is son spellbounded by the little maid beauty. The chiefs murmured quietly at is back. Among all the maidens in the palace he as never come in contact with this little maid. He was aware of the presence in the palace as a servant. He thought that if things continue to go on like this the people may misunderstood them. The empore saw Ravein stretching is hand to Kaita. But kaita refused by bowing, she walked side by side with him while folding her hands at her back.
" your majesty, I think the young prince is..."
" what the young prince do is none of your business. We shall procede with our discussion or suspend it for the day."
"We are so sorry your majesty. Pardon us my lord."
They walked away following the empore from behind.

"You are  sure you are comfortable walking." Ravein asked.
"I'm good ".
Ravein felt coldness in her voice. Even though she is a servant she still behave like a ice queen. He didnt like that attitude, he wanted her to Treate each other like friends.
" lily"
" yes your majesty."
" let me make one thing clear here. It is a great privileged for me treating you nicely unlike any other servants in the castle. I have no one to chat more with than you, so treats me informal."
" treat you informal?"
"Yeah, like calling me my name and addressing me as a friend. Share your horrible and beautiful situations with me like a friend."
" okay."
"Now, come. Take my hand"
He stretch is hand and helped kaita climb on the horse. Kaita sat at the front as her back faced Ravein.
" let me take somewhere lovely."
