~ Chapter #33: Vacation Begins! ~

I'm back, everyone. :) ||

After bringing everything into the vacation home, you glance around, taking everything in. The scent from the nearby beach, the calming smell of candles inside the vacation house, and very faintly, Ms. Mearest's perfume. The furniture is comfy-looking and very fancy, which you expect considering you're in the same place as a rich family of demons. 

Spirit floats calmly above both you and Sen, glancing around, seeming to observe every last bit of the room carefully and calmly. 

"Sen..this place is super nice." You look around some more, as Sen lightly smiles.

"I know..I'm shocked, honestly." He glances around before holding your hand gently. You smile at this gesture, observing Cherry and Cam, who are moving some boxes upstairs. Cherry doing most of the lifting, letting Cam help since he wants to be included. 

Mearest plays some of her favorite music from a boombox sitting in a windowsill, and Dearest goes upstairs to make sure Cam is behaving properly with his beloved daughter. 

"Soo..uh- should we just explore or something?-" You ask, looking to Sen. 

"Up to you, I don't mind either way." He smiles. 

You look down, wondering what the best thing to do on vacation would be. 

"So, how are you two doing?" Ms. Mearest looks at the two of us, who were basically staring off into space while Spirit is exploring the entire vacation home. 

"Oh, uh, we're doing alright. Haven't been anywhere this fancy for a vacation before, sooo it's a new experience-" You smile, sheepishly. 

"Well, now you can. It took a bit of convincin' with my husband," She glares towards the upstairs, where you can faintly hear..beatboxing. "But I'm glad it could work out. You two could use the rest, after all."

"Yeaaah.." You look over towards the direction of the staircase, and question yourself mentally whether you should go up there and assist. 

"Are they up there battling again?" Spirit asks, tilting their head, even though they're dangling upside down. 

"Yep, but that seems to be a normal thing-"

They nod, with a look of disappointment, despite their normal neutral expression. 

"I'm gonna go check on them--" You walk upstairs, and Sen and Spirit decide to chat a bit. 

Music is playing from the oversized speakers Cherry somehow ALWAYS has with her- 

As Dearest and Cam spit bars, you decide to check on Cherry to see if she's alright, avoiding any possible damage from the battle. 

"Uhh, you good Cherry?" 

"Not really- Dad promised he wouldn't do this while we were on vacation- I swear.."

"Yeaah, I feel that. I'm sure after they settle this it'll stop, at least for a little bit."

"They'd better.." She crosses her arms. You give her a reassuring smile, bopping your head a bit to the music. 

Eventually the two grow tired, so the battle ends in a tie. 

"Dad."

"He started it-"

"[beep bop noises]"

"SEE?-"

"Just go downstairs..I want time with my boyfriend." Cherry glares at Dearest, a red glint in her eye. He complies and goes downstairs. 

"Huh, didn't think he'd actually go-"
