Here we begin with friends at a movie theater. Its quiet, the movie is almost about to end. A few hollow chuckles can be heard around the theater, as well as the echo of slurping of shakes and sodas alike.
Friends Ren, Luca, and Kai, have joined their friends Ruby and Levi, on their little date to the movies. As the annoying side characters they are, they had to tag along.
"Can you pass the popcorn over here?" whispers Levi, slowly moving his hand, to get Luca to look at them. Luca doesn't notice, and continues to slowly chew on the buttery pieces of popcorn. Ruby smiles and taps Ren's right shoulder, "Ren? Can you get Luca to pass the popcorn bucket over here please?-" she says. "Oh, yeah sure, one second then." Ren spews, their eyes still glued to the screen. Ren tilts his head over to Luca, "Pass the popcorn real quick, please.". Luca, still eating the popcorn answers with a blunt "sure", and passes the bucket down to Ren. Ren then passes the bucket down to ruby, which is passed to Levi in the end. Levi happily chows down on the popcorn, and sneaks a quick peck on ruby's cheek, as a thanks. Ruby awkwardly smiles, and looks down at her shoes, her smile quickly fades. Levi stares at her confused for a few seconds, but shakes it off as nothing.
The movie ends after at least 30 more minutes of romantic persuading, and a heartfelt kiss to top it all off. Everyone slowly gets up from their chairs, grabbing their trash, and waking up others. Luca was the first one to stand up, then kai, as they all rise from their chairs one by one, ruby was the last to stand up.
The rest of the group is already walking up the stairs to leave the wide room.
"Hey! Guys!" Levi calls out to the rest, grabbing Ruby's hand. "Can you wait for us outside!?". They all stop and look at each other with wide grins, "Take all the time you need!~" Kai calls out jokingly. They then, begin to leave. The door shuts close loudly, leaving just Levi and Ruby, alone in the dark room. Their shadows being casted onto the seats next to them, as the background music plays loudly in their ears. Levi looks down embarrassed, and unknowing of what to say next. Ruby looks at them, just as confused. "Are you alright? you seemed pretty down back there?-.." Levi says softly, trying to come on as nice as possible. "Uhm, yeah. Don't worry, I'm fine Levi-" Ruby spouts back, stubbornly. "We are alone now, you can tell me?" Levi whispers, sounding shyer that before. Ruby untangles her hands from his and looks him into their eyes. "I thought it was going to be just us, is all.". "Did you want it to be just us? Invited them because I thought it would be fun..." Levi says, regretfully. "We you not already having fun with me? This was just supposed to be us?" Ruby spews. Levi freezes, and glares down at the ground, angry at what she said, and himself. "I'll be outside with the others, we are gonna go home after this.". Levi walks off away from ruby, leaving her in the empty room, full of trash, and annoying background music, as the door, slams.
