I sit on my porch rocking, back-and-forth in my old, pink chair. The salt water air runs through my blonde hair. I looked out across the road to my neighbors house. Only wishing it wasn't there to block my view of the ocean. My daydream was interrupted by someone calling my name "Cameron!" my mother called. I get up from my favorite chair and slump inside. "Lunch time Cam!" my brother screams. "I'm going to eat yours!" Right before I hit him, the phone rings. I went to answer it, but my mother shakes her head. Yyou know better." she says disappointed. I'm not allowed to answer the phone because it was so expensive. Not many people have the new invention. "Hello! Mrs. I mean Ms. Blue." my mother says into the white phone. I can barely make out the words the person on the other end is saying. All I know is that it's a girl who is very perky and has a high-pitched voice.
