Kera Venshala (Originally known as Zaria Zentradi) is a human female who grew up in a family lineage of powerful Sith warriors, responsible for killing a great deal of Jedi during the early years of the return of the Sith, being involved in battles such as the sacking of the Jedi temple on Curuscant, and the battle of Alderaan.

Growing up as the youngest of her family, Zaria Zentradi was faced with many adversities at an early age, her parents attention and training going for the most part to her older brothers, leaving her to learn for herself many of the skills in the force she possesses, becoming very powerful in the force without most of her family noticing, as they had dubbed her Woyunoks, or little one, disgracing her on a regular basis.

With her tenuous family life, it was inevitable that she would end up butting heads with the alpha male of her family, her older brother Zhatkâ Zentradi, the pride of the lineage, Her parents adored him more than all of their children, and thus treated him with the most appreciation, feeding into his pride and creating an egotistic and antagonistic personality in the young man, often times he would attack or brutalize his siblings, often times injuring them greatly, even having killed two of them in a sparring match, his great power and sith-like nature making him a likely candidate to become the family's newest Darth.

On her 20th birthday, Zaria Zentradi was awakened by Zhatkâ Zentradi in the dead of night, a scarlet fire burning in his eyes as he sought to rid the family of the weakling that had plagued him for all her life, with a snap hiss, he ignited his crimson lightsaber, and proceeded to attack her.

With only her personal vibroblade handy, Zaria fought off her brother as best she could before finally being defeated by Zhatkâ, having suffered a broken arm and having been slashed across her right eye, as he approached her and readied his blade to deliver the final blow, she reached out with the force and crushed his right kneecap while he was distracted by his mocking egotism, getting to her feet as her brother crumpled to the ground in agony, Zaria force threw her vibroblade into her brother's throat, finishing him off before she collapsed herself.

In the morning, the head of the family, her father Darth Zoiksâw Zentradi found her and Zhatkâ where they lay the night before, furious about the death of his son, Darth Zoiksâw captured his daughter and sent her to the family dungeon for torture, and eventually execution for having slain the prized possession of the family.

Sith overseer Tremel had been visiting the Zentradi estate on Dromund Kaas the day Zaria slew her brother in defense, and had witnessed the battle through the force as it had occurred, her power at such an untrained state had impressed Tremel as he had yet to see anyone beneath the rank of Sith lord obtain so much power on their own.

Tremel having needed an apprentice of merit for some time for a scheme of his own, bought Zaria's freedom and had her shipped to Korriban for further training in the ways of the sith, but at the cost of her family title and being cut out of the family altogether.

As Tremel got to know his prospective student over week before the transport ride to Korriban, he suggested a new name and title for Zaria, one that would scorn her father and the entire Zentradi lineage altogether.

He suggested the name Kera Venshala, a powerful Jedi that overseer Tremel had slain in his earlier years as a Sith master during the war against the Republic.

while the Jedi had ultimately been slain by Tremel, she had been the most powerful Jedi knight he had ever encountered, and had been remembered as his most glorious kill.

Taking up her new name with a strange and unfamiliar pride, Zaria, now Kera Venshala, set off for Korriban with her new mentor overseer Tremel, unknowing of what lied ahead of her, what battles and glory awaited, she craved one thing above all else, vengeance on her father for having disgraced her, and to begin a new lineage of her own, one more powerful than the Zentradi had ever been.
