you were beyond tired. why? because you had previously studied vigorously the night before, and now you have to run an errand for someone, that being you getting their regular coffee for the morning before classes started.
"the one time i'm actually going to school," you grumbled quietly, moving forward in the line you were in and towards the counter where an employee that seemed to be around your age stood.
"may i have your order please?"
you briefly looked at the staff member and scanned his appearance, taking note of his strikingly crimson-red eyes and his cream coloured hair complimented with a single red highlight on the side.
"just a moment," you replied, releasing your gaze from the boy as you took out cash from your wallet and placed it onto the counter, "one latte with extra milk and three teaspoons extra sugar, please."
"that's quite a sweet drink-"
"it's not for me," you quickly interjected, to which the employee paid no mind to and simply nodded with a smile.
"very well then, $4.99 is your change," he softly chirped as he grabbed a marker and an empty cup, "name?"
you thought for a bit and decided against putting your own name down for an order that wasn't even yours, so you opted to put down the name of your dear friend who had sent you on an errand. early in the morning.
"thoma."
the employee looked at you quizzically. you didn't look like a 'thoma' to him. not that he was against females having a masculine sounding name, it just didn't sound right with you specifically.
"thoma?" he repeated as he raised an eyebrow.
"just write it down," you deadpanned, checking your watch as you became very aware of how close to being late you were.
