thoma had decided to put you on patrol. not that it was even needed to be called that, but you let him have his fun. and since you were part of the discipline committee, you weren't in a position to decline a formal request from a student council member anyways.
as you were walking through the hallways, you subtly noted the few stares people gave you. you couldn't blame them, since you also agreed that you yourself weren't a likeable person, mainly due to your blatant honesty and straightforwardness. bluntly put, you could be considered mean when really, you were actually being honest to the point you would say things that people didn't want to hear.
people didn't like that, but the discipline committee saw that trait as something valuable and very well needed for their work, and so they asked you to join, to which you declined without hesitation. but of course, thoma wasn't having it.
"you're going to join, whether you like it or not," were his words, and quite frankly, that was complete bullshit. but eh.
back to the main topic at hand, you were about to turn the corner when you heard faint but rapid footsteps approaching from behind.
"ZHONGLI- I'M SORRY- PLEASE-"
swiftly, you turned around and grabbed the running person by the collar, subsequently near choking them in the process. you stared coldly into their turquoise irises and narrowed your eyes. you heard another pair of footsteps and side-eyed the newcomer.
"i apologise on behalf of this idiot, i'll take it from here-"
you snapped your attention to the person you were holding and brought them closer to your face, "if i ever see you running through the halls again, you will not like what would happen next. do i make myself clear?" you whispered dangerously low.
you let the person's collar go as they nodded rapidly, "c-crystal clear! very sorry, i won't do it again," they said meekly before the student, who you presumed to be 'zhongli', dragged him by the collar to who knows where.
