A long day

Akaashi was just peacefully sitting at his desk. He has been working on this drawing for nine hours straight, he hadn't even slightly shifted positions since he sat down. Whenever he works on something, the whole world around him disappears and he loses track of time. He hadn't eaten at all today, he simply forgot. He tends to forget about eating quite often. He didn't even notice his husbands loud entrance in the house, not even from his happy excited voice.

Bokuto noticed Akaashi emerged in his drawing. He looked over his shoulder. The drawing was more detailed than anything he's ever seen Akaashis ever done. "Keji?" He softly called out trying not to startle him and accidentally ruin the drawing.

Akaashi turned around in his chair to look at Bokuto. "Oh, Kou," Akaashi prettily smiled at him. "your practice is over already?" He asked, still not knowing the time.

"Keji, it's already five pm..." bokutos hair drooped like he was in emo mode. "Have you been sitting here all day? Did you forget to eat again" Bokutos voice was concerned, he wanted to make sure his husband was alright.

"Oh- it's five?" Akaashi knew he couldn't lie about eating. "I haven't eaten yet, sorry" he apologized despite there was no reason to.

"You need to take better care of yourself. Get up, do some stretches and I'll make you dinner. You need to move and eat!" Bokuto wished Akaashi cared more about himself but he knew he was so immersed in his drawing, just as he got immersed in his volleyball games.

"Kou-" Akaashi started but Bokuto pulled Akaashi out of his chair and moved him away.

"Plus, I need hugs and kisses. So, come on, get over here" Bokuto opened his arms for Akaashi to go in for a hug. Alaashi chuckled lightly about clingy Bokuto was to him.

"Of course." He moved in for the hug as they wrapped their arms around each other for a long moment.

"I missed you." Bokuto admitted.

"I missed you too." Even though Akaashi was so into the drawing, the image of Bokutos happy smile he always shared, his loud but competing voice and the love they shared never left his mind. Akaashi leaned up a bit and placed a soft kiss in Bokutos lips. They smiled at each other as they pulled away.

"Now go do some stretches. I'm making teriyaki chicken with rice." Bokuto said. He wasn't super skilled and a top chef but he could still do so. Akaashi was usually the one to cook for his husbands bottomless pit called 'stomach'

"Ok, ok." Akaashi rolled his eyes and went to do some stretches to release the stress forced upon him from not living all day. Bokuto went to the kitchen and started cooking.

"By the way, your drawing looks incredible so far! I can tell how hard you work!" Bokuto complimented.

"And you're still the best volleyball player I've ever seen" he reciprocated a compliment. Bokutos smile widened. He absolutely loves compliments, it always boosted his confidence and loved being acknowledged by Akaashi.

After about twenty minutes the food was ready. "Thank you, Kou." Akaashi smiled softly before starting to eat. He enjoyed it quite a lot. He enjoyed anything Bokuto would do for him. Bokuto happily finished the food and Akaashi went to do the dishes.

"Keji, it's ok, I can do the dishes." Bokuto protested.

"It's fine, you need to shower and relax. I can tell you worked hard today" he assured. Bokuto felt bad for letting Akaashi do the dishes but did as told.

In Bokutos mind, the sooner he showers and gets clean, the sooner he could get his cuddles. Bokuto ran off to the bathroom and got in the shower.

Akaashi finished doing the dishes before Bokuto finished his shower. Akaashi had checked the time, it's been about twelve minutes since he got in. Akaashi lightly knocked on the door, "Kou, remeber the water bill. it's been ten minutes." Akaashi interrupted Bokutos wholesome singing.

"O-oh! Ok!" After a minute he heard the shower turn off. Bokuto put some baggy pajamas on and hung his towel back up. Akaashi then entered to take his own shower.

Akaashi was quick. He knew Bokuto was waiting for him and he didn't want to keep his precious husband waiting for him too long. He came out and put some pajamas on before he went to his and Bokutos room. Bokutos face lit up when Akaashi hit in bed next to him. The tv was on with a show on pause that they started the night before.

Akaashi got in bed next to Bokuto who wrapped his arms around Akaashi, "Keji?" Bokuto started. Akaashi hummed in response as to tell him he had his full attention. "I want children." Bokuto had one of the most serious voices he's ever had. Akaashi blushed and thougy for a moment.

"I- I want that too but, are we ready to take on that responsibility?" Bokuto nodded vigorously. Akaashi agreed, "then let's start looking together."
