A week passed and I didn't hear anything from Harry. I did, however, confirm that he was in my psychology class as I made semi-awkward eye contact with him pretty much on a daily basis. The giddiness stage about the date was wearing off since I was pretty certain that it was never going to happen. I guess I was a little disappointed, but I hadn't really gotten to know Harry so it's not like it was too tragic. I walked in the door on Friday after I was finished with classes. Manda was dancing around the room per usual. Since her Friday classes ended at 11 in the morning she was able to take a morning nap and be fully re-engergized by the time I was finished for the day at two. Today she seemed a little overly giddy though. I tried to contain my curiosity, but I was never any good at holding things back.

"You're awfully happy today...did I miss something?" I turned my back to her and began unloading my backpack.

"Oh nothing...except I got a personal invite to awesome party tonight. Aubs everyone is talking about it, and I got invited by Tyler Livingston himself!"

Tyler Livingston was a notorious Junior partier. His parents were loaded so of course he had an off campus house that he shared with two roommates, other junior guys. His parties were known for being awesome so it was only natural that I was a little jealous Manda received an invite and I didn't. She seemed to detect my envy so she quickly added:

"He said I could bring anyone I wanted...well he told me not to bring guys, but any girls that I wanted," she smiled hopefully.

"Thanks, but I think I'll pass. I have a hot date with my sheets tonight. We are planning on getting real close; cuddling and everything," I knew this sounded like a lame night, but for some reason I just didn't feel like going out.

"I really hate to leave you here all by yourself Aubrianna, are you sure you don't want to come?"

"I'm sure"

"Do you want me to stay in with you?" I could tell she didn't really mean this, but it was a nice offer.

"Manda I'm positive. Seriously I'll be alright I'm just gonna chill for the night" I responded in my best reassuring voice.

"Well if you're sure...then will you help me get ready?"

I laughed. It was best when only one of us was actually going out for the night because then two people could focus on one person's outfit, nails, and hair.

I was just sitting down to paint Manda's nails when my phone buzzed in my backpack. Harry's name lit up on the screen. My stomach did a little flip, but dropped just as quickly as I read the text.

Harry: "Hey do you know the psych homework?"

Wow I thought. I've been waiting a week for this? I quickly typed the assignment out making sure to hit the touchscreen just a little harder than normal to express my resentment even though I knew he couldn't see me.

Me: "yeah I do. It's pages 150-175 due by Monday."

Harry: "thanks. I really need to pay more attention in that class, but lately I just keep getting distracted...

I couldn't tell if he was trying to flirt or trying to brag about the constant circle of girls that surrounded him throughout the period and, I assumed, the rest of the day so I sent a simple response.
