The last time you checked the time it read 3.23 in the morning. And you had to get up for work in just under 2 hours. You didn't want to call in sick for work because you were saving up for a holiday.
Damn it.
You remained alone in bed until your alarm blared signalling for you to get dressed into your swat uniform.
You dressed, brushed your teeth and chugged a coffee before driving to work on zero sleep.
As you arrived you tried to keep your eyes wide open enough they wouldn't close with tiredness.
You walked into the staff room and went straight to the coffee machine, achonowledging Chris with a tired smile.
You chugged a mugful of coffee before pouring another one.
You walked toward Chris, Jessica and Street hoping they wouldn't notice the dark circles around your usually bright eyes.
"You good with the coffee, N/n?" Street chuckled, gesturing to the coffee mug you were currently drinking from.
You laughed quietly. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just didn't sleep well last night." That was not a lie per say, but you definitely didn't sleep last night.
Chris frowned and stood up from the couch to stand beside you, linking her arm through yours.
"You okay, hon?" She husked, noticing your tired exterior.
You nodded wordlessly and took another swig of your coffee.
Jessica and Street glanced at each other before leaving.
"Y/n?" Chris leaned toward you.
You had zoned out, wishing back to your bed, desperate for one good nights' sleep.
"Hey. Y/n." She pressed her hand to your lower back, and you flinched before realizing it was only her. The woman you loved and got to call girlfriend.
"Yeah?" You asked quietly.
"What's going on?" You asked you sternly. She grabbed the mug out of your grip and placed it on the the bench behind her. She wrapped her arms around you and rested her chin on your shoulder, breathing in your scent.
"Can't sleep."
The two words set alarm bells off in her head, Chris tightened her grip on you.
"Okay, you're sleeping over at mine tonight."
