Chapter 10 (Baseball!!)

~A few hours earlier~

"When did you start getting along with that gorilla?" Nobara asked Yuji, referring to Todo. I'll be honest, quite frankly I figured they'd get along once I heard Yuji's supposed type was girls like Jennifer Lawrence, Yuji is also a social butterfly that everyone warms up to... eventually, it was odd, but I did get confused when they started to call each other 'brothers'. "Well, we got along, but like... I remember what happened, but I wasn't exactly myself then..." Yuji replied, "What? Were you drunk?" She asked, Yuji said "You believe I could've been drinking liquor in that situation? I'm shocked." He then turned to face Megumi, "But I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt, Fushiguro. You're able to eat pizza now too." He said, "Come on, bring me something easier to digest." Megumi complained.

Currently we were in the medical bay because Megumi had sustained a serious injury from the special-grade curse seen earlier, we were visiting... and eating pizza, though I wasn't too fond of it so I just leaned my back against the wall, silently listening to their conversation while I was lost in my own thoughts.

'I swear I know that guy, but from where? That curse next to Mahito seemed oddly familiar, but I couldn't tell where I had remembered him from. And I still can't remember. This is so annoying. Maybe I should sneak back into the higher ups office, there might be a file on him somewhere... actually why would they have a file on him for? Nobody's actually encountered him apart from myself, still he looked more human than anything. Should I forget about it? Is it even worth reporting to the higher ups? Probably but... something, something seems out of place. Am I missing something?... Oh well since I have to report to the higher ups regardless, I'll have a look around. Though I can't say I'll find anything, especially with them in the room, I won't be able to open any drawers otherwise I'd get caught and that isn't necessarily fun. Brushing that aside, now I have to go report my findings. Ugh, how pointless is this bullsh-' My thoughts came to an end once I heard the door slam open and a Yuji running out with a Todo running after him. Nobara and Megumi looked at him dumbfounded as I watched silently for a few seconds, deciding to take my leave.

"Hey Megumi, Nobara I'll be back in a few hours, I have to go see the higher ups again, as annoying as it is, they have zero patience for me, considering my antics. バイバイ！(Bye Bye!)" I said to them, they turned their attention towards me as I walked out the front door, saying bye. I could tell they were semi-curious about my mission, more so Nobara than Megumi as Megumi already knew I had to see the higher ups regularly, leaving suddenly at any day and time, sometimes I'd be back after a few minutes, hours to days and weeks. It was annoying sometimes but you'd have to get used to it, despite being a first-year a special-grade sorcerer is a special-grace sorcerer, age wasn't a concern.

As I left the building, I levitated myself off the ground, seeing Yuji running around like an idiot around the buildings with Todo chasing him closely behind. 'Might as well give him a hand' I thought to myself, "Aura Manipulation", I gently lifted him off the ground, which to his surprise, he was startled and started yelling loudly. I sweat dropped, I forgot that he's never seen any of my techniques. I brought him next to me and said, "Hey Yuji? You good there?" I asked him, once he saw me he asked, "Woah, AHHH, Oh hi y/n!... wait how are you flying?! HOW AM I FLYING???" I laughed and said, "It's just one of my techniques, don't worry your not going to die.... Unless I drop you that is, but I won't! Anyways your welcome, I have somewhere to be so I'll see you later kay?" "Thank you? and bye?" He said confused before I lowered him down to the ground.

Once his feet met the floor I went on my way. A flock of birds came by, beautiful crows, their wings being pure black as well as their eyes. I admired from a distance before flying through them, expecting them to flee from me and head elsewhere, yet they stayed there, flying around me. I smiled.
