Chapter 3
*Apartment of Mrs. Smith*
~Elliot knocks on the door~
Mrs. Smith opens the door to see the two police officers
that had visited her before standing in her door way.
"Oh, hello! Please, come in." Elliot and Liv follow her into
her tiny apartment.
"Mrs. Smith, we have a few more questions for you concerning
Mr. Johnson."
"Of course, anything I can do to help!" she replies, sitting
down in her rocking chair.
"Mrs. Smith, have you recently heard arguing coming from his
apartment?"
"Well, yes. As I had said before, these walls are paper
thin. I mainly hear two males. Sometimes there is a female involved. But usually
Mr. Johnson and his daughter keep to themselves. Lately though, Mr. Johnson has
been acting strange. He doesn't really let his daughter out of the house unless
he is with her. Whereas before she would play with her ball in the hall way and
even come over and visit me for a little."
Liv turns to Elliot and gives him a nod. "Thank you very
much Mrs. Smith, you've been a great help to us in solving this case."
"Anything I can do, let me know. That little girl was so
sweet, it's a shame what happened to her."
Olivia smiles and heads out the door followed by Eliot.
*House of Alli and Chris*
~Liv knocks on the door~
The door begins to open, Alli is seen with a terrified look
on her face.
"Find anything yet on my daughter's killer?" she says
stepping out onto the stoop with the detectives.
"No we haven't, we were hoping to ask you a question about
Chris." Eliot says. Alli's face turns white. "Chris did nothing to hurt my daughter."
She says looking down. Liv notices a bruise on Alli's arm right where her t-shirt
ends. "That's a nasty bruise you have on your arm, what happened?" Alli quickly
pulls down her shirt to hide the mark. "I think it's time for you to go now, detectives."
She says as she begins to walk back into her house. "If you think of anything,"
Liv says, holding out a card. "Yes I know, I'll give you a call." She then
shuts the door.
"That asshole is guilty" Eliot says turning around to head
down the stoop steps. Oliva goes to reply, but is cut off from a loud "HEY!"
the two detectives glance over to their left to see Chris walking towards them.
"What the hell do you think you are doing harassing my
girlfriend? Huh?" he says, looking directly at Eliot.
"Maybe you should ask yourself that same question." Eliot
replies.
Chris then takes a swing at Eliot, but misses. Eliot then
punches him in the gut, knocking him to the ground and flips him on his stomach
to hand cuff him. "You're coming with me." Eliot says forcing the handcuffs
tightly around his wrists. Alli then comes running out of her house. "What are
you doing?! Leave him alone!" she yells as Oliva holds her back.
"You dumb bitch, I told you not to say a word to these pigs!"
Chris yells at Alli as he gets put in the back of the cop car.
Alli begins to cry and yells, "I didn't say anything!" She
continues to cry as Chris gets taken away in the back of Eliot's car.
"Alli, you need to calm down. How about you go inside and
call a near relative of yours to come over and stay with you." Liv suggests.
"Okay, I'll call my sister." Alli says in a sad voice.
"If he hurts you, why do you stay with him?"
"He loves me. And he supports me." Alli replies looking
down.
Oliva gets Alli back into her house and heads back over to
the police station.
