Clearly since Wattpad killed my original account I am reposting my work. Unfortunately, this means that most of my work will be posted in bulk chapters like this instead of individually. I know it can seem daunting to read so much but I hate the idea of my work not being here.

If they kill my account again however, I will not be returning and you will need to find me on ao3 as Out0fMyHead or FF.Net with the same name.

Hermione sat, a mug of hot chocolate in front of her on the table and a toddler on her lap, tugging at her hair.

"I'm really happy that everything is going well for you." Hermione smiled, slender fingers poking at the little girl who giggled and scrabbled around in her lap.

"It is, I was surprised to see it was you Severus was bringing around." Alouette hummed, Hermione could hear the laugh in her voice as she watched the younger woman interact with her child.

Hermione chuckled and shook her head.

"You cannot even imagine my surprise when I found out you were Lucius' new wife. I couldn't believe it, I never imagined you settling down with someone like him." Hermione hugged the toddler to her, her fingers caressed soft locks as the girl settled and played with a necklace that hung around Hermione's neck.

"He's different, then he was when I met him that is, calmer. He's so sweet, and gentle." Hermione grinned.

"Interesting how they can be two completely different people in one body isn't it?" She mused, still running her fingers through baby fine hair as Phoenix drifted to sleep on her lap.

"It is, you've always had a way with little ones, haven't you? That child hasn't had a proper nap in weeks." Alouette scoffed, sipped her cocoa and Hermione paused, eyes closed.

"Well, it's never made any sense to me." She shook her head, brown locks dancing around her face. "I've always been so off-putting to my peers, I suppose children are the only ones who can see the good in me." Hermione laughed and handed the toddler off to her mum to be laid down.

She settled back as Alouette left the room and started when the door opened again.

"You are well I presume?" Severus' voice drifted over her and she sighed, relaxed back into her chair.

"I'm fine, Al is putting Phoenix in her room." She ran her fingers through her hair and Severus came closer, his figure loomed over her. It was as if she could sense him, leaned over her, watching her with narrowed eyes.

"We will be done soon, I am glad you are comfortable with Madam Malfoy, we may well spend much time here."

"I'm fine with her, we attended a conference together, strapped with the same room by accident, she's a wonderful person. Have you and Lucius come up with any ideas?" She sipped her cocoa and squeaked when he took it from her hands and she heard him take a slow drink from her mug. "Shame on you." She laughed as he handed the mug back.

"I was dreadfully thirsty." She could hear the smirk in his voice and shook her head. "And yes, we've come up with a few ideas, I've decided to take you to my home, if that is acceptable, and have owled Minerva the most mundane of reasons why she will be needing to find a temporary replacement."

"Is your home covered in cobwebs, do you frequently play the organ?" Severus cocked an eyebrow, knowing she couldn't see it but feeling it was necessary based on her response.
