You're okay now, I promise

Noe was sleeping peacefully, it was maybe around 2am. he held his pillow close and snuggled up to it, dreaming of nothing in particular. The only reason he woke up was from hearing a strangled gasp from across the room.

Noe opened his eyes and looked over into the pitch black dark, eyes quickly adjusting to see Vanitas awake. he was sitting up, facing away from Noe.
...was he crying?
Noe didn't do anything at first. he had to think this through or Vanitas would never open up. that human really was a pain in the ass.

The sobs grew louder, this was when Vanitas decided to leave. they stood up, grabbing a jacket and heading towards the window. Noe stopped him, grabbing his arm gently.
"Dont leave." He whispered, Vanitas struggling out of his grasp but Noe was persistent. he wouldn't let the human get away so quickly.
"Let go of me, Noe." it wasn't as demanding or Cold as normal. that's when Noe knew that he couldn't just let this go. something happened and he would find out no matter what.

Noe sighed. "No , I won't. I'm worried..." He trailed off . Vanitas laughed, then glared at him.
"Dont tell me what to do."

this bickering went on for a while until Vanitas was just too tired to continue. he was only human. they sat on the bed far away from Noe . this was fine, Noe would take it.

he draped the red comforter over Vanitas . "What happened..?" Vanitas stiffened.

"Stop it." He hissed out , blue eyes almost glowing in the night as he glared at Noe. but the vampire noticed he was crying again. Noe sighed again.

"What happened ?" He tried again , more stern this time. it was clear he wouldn't give up this time. and so , Vanitas' walls cracked.

Vanitas spoke quietly as he finally stopped bottling it all up. he talked of Moreau, Mikhail, and what happened in the church. he left out a lot, but Noe was happy he finally opened up.

By the end of it , Vanitas was crying and Noe just hugged him. he wasn't pushed away, he pulled vanitas closer. soon enough they were both laying down, vanitas hiding his face in the others chest . Noe held him there, playing with his hair. it was silent, words weren't needed.

Vanitas finally fell asleep, Noe didn't. he watched over Vanitas with a smile.

The vampire kissed his forehead, "You're safe now."
