"No." I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted stubbornly as Liam repeatedly kept trying to get me out of the passenger seat. People were now staring but I didn't give two shits.
So what if I'm not socializing?
So what if I'm not going to work?
So what if this was the first time I've showered in weeks?
That's right. Nothing. Nothing is wrong with what I'm doing but since Liam was the male version of Mother Theresa and was the human fucking embodiment of The Hulk, he decided to 'open my eyes' by tossing me over his shoulder and sitting me into a bench.
Yeah. Nothing weird about that.
"Okay, seriously Harry? You're a 19 year old, not a 9 year old. Man up. You have to get over-"
I cut him of by holding up my hand. I don't want to get over him. Crossing my arms over my chest again, I looked up to him and heaved a long, annoyed sigh.
"Fine. Whatever." I got up and dusted my behind, clucking my tongue at the nasty bench. "I'm going to starbucks to get a coffee, do you want anything?" Rustling my hair wilding, I looked up at him expectantly.
He was grinning like a Cheshire Cat and nodding quickly.
"Yeah, sure. Get me venti 1 pump caramel, 1 pump white mocha, 2 scoops vanilla bean powder, extra ice frappuchino with 2 shots poured over the top, apagotto style with caramel drizzle under and on top of the whipped cream, double cupped."
I stared at him in bafflement. He can't be serious. The order was far forgotten already.
"Fuck it. You're getting a black coffee and you're going to enjoy it."
With that, I got up and walked down the pavement, trying to remember the path down to Starbucks. Once I spotted it a few yards away, I picked up my pace, trying to get this over as quick as possible.
The jingle of the bell sounded in my ear as I made my way to the empty register.
"Can I get a mocha cookie crumble and a black coffee?" I asked the girl behind the counter. She nodded as I gave her my name and walked to the back to start brewing the hot drinks. Absentmindedly tapping my finger on the counter, I did a quick scan of the little shop. There were not very many people. Over in the corner was a girl of about 16, sitting on a Mac book Pro and tapping away, completely ignoring her cooling drink. Sitting by the door, there was an old couple sitting closely together and smiling fondly at one another. I smiled sadly at them. They have obviously been in love for years and more years to come.
Why can't I have that? I looked up at the ceiling.
Was it too much to ask?
"Mocha and a coffee for Harry?" I heard a bell ding, snapping me out of my thoughts. Pulling out a 10 pound bill, I made my way to the other counter where I handed her the bill and grabbed the scalding drinks.
"Thanks," I said quickly and rushed to the doorway. For some reason, I could finally breathe the second I walked out of that shop. I don't know why, but I felt my self get blurry eyed for the 50th time that day as I made my way down the cracked pavement.
Liam is right.
No, Liam is more than right. He's exactly right.
Oh my lord.
That makes no sense. I'm losing my mind. Maybe I shouldn't have started to think about He Who Shall Not Be Named. I mean, so what if that exact coffee shop is where I had my first kiss?
It's not as if the balance of the earth is blown out of proportion just because I went in there for the first time in weeks.
Scoff.
I feel as though i've let down Liam. Is that bad? Oh, I don't know. It could be the fact that-
"Hey you twat! watch it!" I felt the scalding liquid run down my leg as I jumped up and down repeatedly while trying to apologize to the stranger whom I've attacked.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"Don't you f-ing dare apologize. You have eyes don't you? You seem to be able to walk perfectly fine with those long ass legs without tackling people! Holy shit, you got coffee all over my new sweater! And who drinks black coffee anyway? Oh my lord, I dropped my phone!....."
I started to zone out,as the only thing I was focusing on was his face. The way his beautiful caramel locks fell perfectly over his eyebrows as moved his head around. The Sapphire orbs that could easily be mistaken for green that seethed with anger. His delicate hand that snapped all over the air.
I snapped out of my daze and stumbled back, not wanting to further upset the boy with the TOMs that could easily be slipped off and chucked at me.
"Uhh..well i.." I stuttered, starting to feel queasy.
"Uh, well what? Aren't you going to help me?" He asked impatiently, tapping his foot against the concrete.
I nodded hastily and I crouched on my knees to help him restore the contacts that fell from his backpack. I quickly grabbed my phone after I filled up his back again.
"Sorry" I apologized once more and turned around. As I was walking away, I took a look at him. He was furiously tapping away at an Iphone and was about to hop on bus which I did not realize was there.
When I took a closer look, my eyes doubled in size.
He had an Iphone.
With the exact case as mine.
I looked down at the screen saver. It was a picture of him at a pumpkin farm. Definitely not my screen saver.
I looked up and realized that he'd just figured out what happened as well but it was too late.
As the bus door was shutting slowly, he flipped me the finger.
Feisty.
I like.
