Kegan's POV

I can still remember the day, the day when the wind blew in my face. My nose filled with the salty air, with tears rolling down my cheeks. Looking behind I watched as the land grew smaller and smaller the farther we drove out into the open sea. The day I had to leave him behind the only family I had left, Danny my only family from that tragic day so long ago.

Danny's POV

I opened my eyes lying on my side and there standing in the middle of the fire, was a girl a little girl. She spoke and I couldn't hear what she said but she was crying. Then it just all went blurry and then I closed my eyes. Next thing i new is the same girl but older leaning over a boy crying and saying that he promised they would be together forever.soon i realized that was me but who was the girl.

I woke up sharply sitting up in bed sweating breathing hard, it was just a dream i said to myself. Struggling out of all my blankets i got to my feet as quietly as I could trying not to wake Ben my room mate. But sadly he moaned as he got up, like someone waking from the dead.

"What are you doing up at this hour, its like 1:00 in the morning is too early to be up. Plus you can't see
anything" Said Ben.

"I cant sleep."I replied.

"Why"

"Because i can't sleep."

"Thats not a logic reason for being up at 2:54 in the morning." Ben said looking at the clock.

"Well I had a dream about this girl. I started to tell Ben what it was all about my dream and he thought I was crazy."

"So you're saying that you died, and this girl that was leaning over you looked familiar, even though you have no idea who she is, and that she specifically said ' you promised me that we would be together forever. ' Right?"

"Ya thats basically what happened."

Well i'm going back to bed." Ben said and that ended our conversation."

The white puffs floating in the big blue sky always memorized me. How blue the sky was that day, and oh how the wind blew the leaves of the trees, and the calming sound of the ocean along the beaches of the island, you could have said it was paradise. But what I was about to experience was no where near paradise. The bulletin board was where the scientist put up when and who goes into the white room. I should explain what the white room is, no its not just a white room its a lab room for when the scientists do their the experiments. The first time I came to this island i thought it was going to be perfect there wouldn't be anyone are except for a few people. No crowds that would get hurt no one to hurt, but I was all wrong. The experiments, the torture, and all the pain just to know what's going on inside of our bodys what's happening in our minds. that is what the white room is its a lab where they take kids with powers and experiment on us. My friends and I what you would call a mutant.

I never said a word when someone ever talked to me, I would sit there and just let them talk. Some people ask me why I don't speak and so I ended up just writing it and posting it up on the bulletin board. I should explain what the white room is, no its not just a white room its a lab room for when the scientists do their the experiments.

I was always a shy person I never really talked to people. I rarely talked to anyone in ever since I was young my parents don't know this but when I was lost in seaworld, and thats when I spoke and the parents the kids around me just stopped and fell to the ground. They died so with one single world you and anyone around me will just die, that what I never say a words.

"Im going to the library.” I told Ben, but he was already asleep."

I quietly slipped out of the room to make sure I didn't wake up Ben again. I walked past the kitchen thinking that Miss. May was going to be there but then I remember that it was only 3:15 in the morning.

Miss. May was the owner of the orphanage was where I lived, I ended up here when my parents got into a car crash and died. I grabbed my keys to the door unlocked it and closing it I locked it from the front. I headed down the block and then turned left onto Mainstreet. I turned right into the alley heading toward the back of the library.

Like usual I unlocked the door and no one was there complete silence. Stepping in to the library I was surrounded with the smell of old musty books. Running up the steps to the second floor of the library into the far corner where one ever went.  I had made a little reading area for myself I probably read every single book in this room or in the library. Most people would think that only girls would become a book nerd but not me, I loved to read, for some reason I was never allowed to go to school so I taught my self.
