The sounds of the forest invaded Edward's ears. He was lost. This tragedy started as a camping trip his dad was taking him on. But when he was awoken to not see his dad laying beside him he couldn't just sit there.
After a day of searching, Edward was ready to give up hope of ever seeing his father again. Occasionally on the search he would hear a faint scream. But the screams would sound off, as if something inhuman was trying to be human.
It was starting to get dark so Edward made his way back to his camp and lit a fire. He wanted to call for help but had no phone, no radio, and no way out of the woods.
He was sitting at the campfire while it was pitch black outside. He heard a faint crack of bone. "What the fuck was that." Edward said to himself frightened. "Hey I ain't mean no harm, but if you threaten me, one of us gonna die. "I mean you no harm boy." Said a deep and bold voice. "I only wish to warn you."
"Of what?" Edward asked, still unable to tell what is talking to him.
"Warn you of the beast, your kind knows them as skinwalkers."
"Skin walkers, they're real!?"
"Keep your voice down boy, do you wish to bring the whole forest down on top of us?" The voice said sternly."Heyy, sun, that is you?" Another voice came from the woods, this one approached closer however, and got in range of the firelight.
"Dad, is that you" Edward said in a hopeful voice.
"Yea I father"
"Boy, stay away from that thing, for I know it's true nature."
"NO THAT'S MY DAD!" Edward exclaimed getting up and going in to hug him.
"NO BOY!" The voice shouted and rushed in, showing itself. It had the head of a horse skull but the body of a long spine, it didn't seem to have legs anywhere. It just floated, almost as just a floating long horse.
"RUN BOY, THAT WAY!" The long horse said, pushing the skinwalker disguised as Edward's father on the ground. When he does this though, 4 other skinwalkers approached him from the treeline."GET OUT OF HERE BOY, I SHALL HANDLE THIS." The long horse ordered.
Edward didn't even think, for he was already moving. He had to get out of here. It didn't matter where just not there. He heard screams and other horrible noises. After about an hour of running, he finally came across a paved road. He followed it for a while. Eventually coming to a convenience store where he called for help. He got his mom to come get him. Edward tried explaining to the cops what happened but everyone thought he sounded crazy. Edward still thinks to those woods, and that, that long horse.
