Ele's POV

i stare at my boss. a blank expression on my face. "i'm just not hungry" i tell him. "that was not what i asked you eleanor. is he the reason you don't eat? yes or no" he says folding his arms. i try to force a smile on my face. but everything seems slowmotion. like i don't have control over my own body. i look around trying to gain any form of control. I Suddenly start shaking crazily. not this again

"worthless fat pig" dad yells. "but daddy why. i- i'll try i- i can do this" i cry out. "you're not getting food for the coming week. pig" he answers. SMACK. i fall to the floor as i feel a blow to my stomach. i am underweight for my age. how am i still fat. my dad kicks me until i pass out. complete darkness. when i wake up i see blood on the floor. but my dad is gone. my vision remaining blurry. my head pounding and my body aching like never before. 

until i pass out. again

"eleanor. darling, come on, wake up" i slowly open my eyes. meeting with  graysons worried exterior "what happened?" i ask him sitting up. looking around his office. i wasn't here earlier.

he cups my face. "you were crying, and screaming that you wanted your dad to stop hitting you. you were having flashbacks and then passed out" he tells me. "i'm i- i can explain" i mumble. "ele, dio(god) are you ok babes?" i get up as i see my bestfriend. "i'm ok. i'm gonna finish work." i tell both of them and walk out. i sit behind my desk and bury myself in work. today can not get any worse, it won't get darker than midnight right?

when i'm almost done bentley walks in. "bastard left you 9 thousand in cash." he tells me tossing the envelope to my desk. i shrug my shoulders. no amount of money will change the pain he's caused me. "that bad?" he asks pointing at the empty wrapper of my medication. i nod. "i'm fine now tho." I answer finishing work. "are you going back to your parents?" i ask him. he nods "unless you want me to stay" i shake my head. "i don't think i mind being alone right now" i tell him he kisses the top of my head. "promise you'll call if you need anything?"

"i promise lee, thank you for coming, means alot to me" everything i say sounds like a robot. it's strange. i never wanted to have this happen at work.  i wanted to have everything go smoothly and deal with that in private. "hey darling, ready to head out?" i look up and see grayson. "head out to where?" i ask confused. "home, it's 12 am" i look around and finally acknowledge the fact that it's completely dark out. no one is in the building and all the lights are off. "uhm, i can walk home." i tell him 

"no you're not walking home in this condition. c'mon, let's go" he tells me. i nod. "let me collect my stuff real quick, i'll meet you in your office." he nods and walks out. i quickly grab my stuff and head downstairs. taking the stairs so he won't notice. "and where do you think you're going" i look up from searching my keys in my purse and see grayson. "hi" i say with a smile. "eleanor" he states raising his eyebrow. "grayson" i deadpan. "car. now" he says as if he can boss me around. i look to the left. if i walk off now i'll be home before he notices. "don't you dare. car eleanor" he says as if he can read my mind. shit. i walk after him and wait for us to arrive at my house 

"thanks grayson, i got it from here. thank you for everything today" i tell him as he parks the car infront of the building. i unbuckle myself and open the door. "i'm coming with you" he says. "i appreciate all that you're doing, but i really need some time alone, i'll message or call if i need anything" i tell grayson. he looks at me unsure. "i keep my promises. i'll see you tomorrow at work" he finally gives in. "bring food" i smile and give him a nod. before leaving the car and walking inside. 

today has been hell. and being alone isn't all that bad today. i get myself some drinks and cut up some fruit. if i eat then it better be healthy. i place everything on my coffeetable before heading to my room to take a long shower.
