Hello everyone!
When watching the anime again after a long time, I really wanted to write a fic when this idea came into my head.
All the Cardfights written inside here are either from the anime with some adjustments, or written all by me.
(I do not have any Vanguard decks, so I had to make my own with pen and papers... Took a few hours of my life, but I'm not regretting it)
So their decks aren't exactly like the anime's, and pardon me if there are any mistakes in the Cardfights.I think that's all I wanted to say, so-
Hope you enjoy!

Aichi flinched back and gripped the deck he held tightly. His tiny hands could barely hold the deck together as he shivered in fear.
His father raised his fist from the table and gathered the cards again with an annoyed look on him. "Tachikaze isn't a clan for you either," he muttered, then glared at Aichi before harshly grabbing the deck from him. "We've almost done every clan, Aichi," he said sternly, eyes not even looking at his son as he put the deck into its case and threw it to the side. "I expect you to at least be good at some of these. I need you to become a powerful Vanguard Fighter, or you'll just be an embarrassment for me."
"Gomenasai, Otou-san..." muttered Aichi, shrinking down into himself as he stared down at the ground.
His father just gave a mad grunt, slamming his palm on the table to stand up. "If you can't play properly with one clan, then I will force you to master all of them, you hear me?"
"H-hai, Otou-san..." muttered Aichi again with a tiny nod, not even daring to look up at the man he called his father.
"Good. Now go to your room and research more for your type of deck," scoffed his father. "Memorise all the rules, too. I'm sick of having to correct you all the time."
Giving out a small nod, Aichi carefully stood up and staggered up the stairs and into his room. He closed the door silently behind him and leant back. He could hear his parents talk to each other right down the stairs.
"Dear, you're being too harsh on him," said his mother. "He doesn't have to follow your footsteps into a hobby he isn't interested in, like you."
"He should and better do too," snarled his father loudly, making Aichi flinch. "If he doesn't at least master one clan and be able to defeat others, he'll just be an embarrassment to me because of his failures."
"It's just a card game!" yelled his mother, furious.
A slam suddenly came and Aichi's fear grew so much that he ran over to his bed and hid under the covers. Tears formed in his eyes as his little body shivered. He felt useless. He couldn't please his father, he kept worrying his mother, and he was the reason for their fighting. He felt he was the reason for the whole mess in their family. He knew he was the whole mess in their family.
Heavy footsteps walked up the stairs, and Aichi felt himself shiver more. The door to his room barged open, and he froze still.
"Aichi," said his father firmly, but no answer came from the bed. He clicked his tongue in annoyance, but threw three small books onto the bed to land in front of the cowering boy. "You better read and learn these books before I get you the decks." With that, his father slammed the door shut and walked away.
With shaking movements, Aichi slowly sat up from the covers and took the three books. He knew he had to read and memorise them before his father came with the decks, or he would get the consequences his father had for him.
