Viper's change

The virus

I woke up to hear coughing,I walked to the noise which was in Scourge's den.I saw him splayed on the floor coughing up blood,his fur was soaked with dry blood.I prodded his side when I was shoved out of the den by Brick. "Hey!"I yowled.Brick just continued into the den with no reply.I sat at the entrance,waiting for Scourge and Brick to come out.I decided to get some fresh kill,I took a plump pigeon from the scattered pile and devoured it in a few quick bites. I turned back to the den to see brick staggering out and racked with coughs.I had to get away from this commotion so I pounded to the twoleg place and hid in a dumpster.I froze in shock when I heard a hiss,my instinct told me to rake my claws on the other cat and I did so,landing my claws in a thick pelt.I sharply tugged my claws out of the cat's fur and heard it yowl as I tore part of the grey fur off."Get off my territory you mangy Rouge!"He yowled.By the size of his belly and how weak his muscles were i knew I could take him down easily,without hesitation i raked my thorn sharp claws through his eye to deep in his muzzle,he whimpered and scampered away in fear.Just as he had left a pungent smell hit my scent glands.I followed the trail until I found bright green leaves and a purple flower.I nipped off some of it and went back to camp,as I neared home i heard lots of coughing.I saw scourge almost dead,splayed out in the middle of camp.I thought of what star clan had taught me and fed him the leaves and flower,once they were swallowed he rose into the air and beaming with blue light,in a heart beat he fell to the floor and choked up more blood until his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he lay limp.From that moment i stayed away from camp hoping that I wouldn't catch the virus,seasons later i returned to see a clean camp full of healthy cats.
